Half decent programme that probably seemed better watching it after the friendly with New Zealand but raised a couple of questions in my head. It mentioned people in Dublin supporting NI in 1982 & 1986, I for one have a very different view. I never knew at the time though that Armstrong & O'Neill played GAA so most likely of a nationalist persuasion but felt that NI identified as Ulsterman first and foremost so felt they needed to play for NI and biggest shocker was Gerry Target in that vein. Most Important for me is how articulate and considerate in a football sense Brian Kerr and Niall Quinn are. It has reiterated for me how these two first and foremost should be involved in the running and direction football in Ireland should take. Especially when you see they both think an all Ireland league and eventually team is the future.
