The excuses for ignoring or not realising very obvious logistical issues that will arise from their policies is long gone for this government. Tying up pharmacy time and phone lines a couple of weeks ago, tying up GP practices time and phone lines again today. This has a big knock on effect for people's everyday medical and prescription needs.

Was meant to get my second Jab on Wednesday but never got a appointment. Rang the HSE number and they said to wait till Sunday and if I haven’t got it to call them then.

Kinda raging as I’m going up north now for a week so was hoping to be sorted .

Got my digital cert by email two days ago. Happy to eat outside at this time of year anyway, no desire to sit in a restaurant unless it is pissing rain.

First large test out of Israel on the Pfizer effectiveness against Delta and they reckon it's down to about 65% effective against infection and transmission but still into the 90's against severe and hospitalisation from it. Mixed news to be honest, virus seems to be adapting to the changes we've made to beat it.

I thought you had to be 7-10 days after jab 2 to be considered vaccinated? I haven't got my cert yet, got the 2nd jab at least a month ago.

It's 1 week after second dose of Pfizer, but 2 weeks after all other vaccines. However digital certs are arriving earlier. Whether dates will be checked/scrutinised in airports is unknown.

Vaccination is mandatory for premier league players. If you're not double jabbed by the 1st of October, you're not playing. Will be interesting to see if any player refuses.

Playing Devils advocate here if a player refuses the vaccine and cannot play for their team would they be in breach of their T&C's and could the club just stop paying them or would the club be left here in a situation where they're forced to pay a player who isn't eligible to actually play for them as they refuse to get the vaccine.

Presumably this isn't being introduced for health and safety concerns but more for business continuity purposes, PL don't want their revenue streams being impacted by this anymore.
