Without knowing your flight times would you consider taking the National Express. It's direct to Liverpool Street and takes just over an hour and it's 7 quid each way. From there it is handy enough to West Brompton or Earls Court on the tube. Dave and myself are getting the red eye home from Stansted and will be taking the bus in the early hours.
cheers colm, yeah i was looking at that bus alright, will probably go with that. on that red eye also, not bothering with a hotel
You can't really go wrong Willie. There are train routes that can be decent value but would over complicate things. With you on the idea of not paying for a hotel. It would be a shame to spoil the 10 quid return flights by forking out an unnecessary 60 quid plus on a hotel Plus getting home for work is an added bonus.
It'd worth having a look at easybus too, you'll be on the same coach as if you had booked on national express but it's normally a good bit cheaper.
I never realized that they use the same buses as National Express. Just had a quick search on their website and it's currently £2.39 each way. Can't ask any fairer than that.
Anyone receive their tickets for this yet from the first sale? I see they've been arriving in the UK the last 2 days.
I'm in London for work the night of this game. Would anyone know the quickest way from Heathrow to Stamford Bridge in the unlikely event I manage to get a ticket?
Made 2 orders off my account in the first sale because of an error with my membership card. The second transaction's tickets have arrived today but no sign of the first transaction's tickets yet
