Someone in my wife's job is to sail that route this Friday and they have contacted her to say its cancelled I've been following their Twitter feed this week as I'm due to use them next month Seems to be chaos as one of the ships had to go in for some unscheduled work Maybe tweet them Terry and see
According to their website the Port-Aven has a technical problem and is out of service. Seems that one sails the Plymouth-Roscoff route so we should be ok. We are on the Economie (that's economy for non-french speakers ... basically a cargo ferry by the looks of it!.
For those going to Madrid ticketless what's yer plan with watching the game? Majority I presume will head to the boss gig in our fan park and then just head for the nearest pub at 6pm? I'm not too worried about watching it with Spurs fans just more that they'll be all full by 5pm and doors closed!
We have the exact same idea, float around absorbing the atmosphere then try settle in somewhere early for the game !
Yeah it's probably a case of sacrificeing the last couple of hours of the boss gig and heading to a bar around 4 or 5.
Hope this bloody boat goes considering all the hassle I’ve gone through not being around for me wedding anniversary on June 2nd
Ive traveled on the boat loads of times for work (truck driver) and it's not actually that bad. The only difference really compared to the likes of the Oscar Wilde or the Pont Aven is it's smaller and there is less bars and restaurants onboard. Actually find it better as really no pesky kids running around screaming even in peak summer time. Beer is a lot cheaper than any local in Ireland also. If you get caught in a storm on the bay though you are fucked if you've no sea legs
Is Boss gig confirmed? Honestly I'm more thinking now of skipping the fanzone completely. Only land at 1pm on the day (that's if there's no disruption which there likely will be with the amount of air traffic) so probably better to eat and head to a bar straight away. Yes Boss gig and TAW confirmed, best part of Kiev was Shevchenko Park so won't be missing that but like I said will probably sacrifice the last hour or two
