Savage young player. A lad with his feet firmly on the ground who was destined for a great life. Heartbreaking for all his family and friends. A couple of lads who played today would have been team mates at under age level and good friends. The game itself today was mayhem. The pitch was rock hard so led to a very fast game. Thought Monaghan had threw it away as subs didn’t really work but Conor McManus just unreal. A bittersweet victory though, won’t be any celebrations in Monaghan tonight.
If its like Sunday when they go on Ticketmaster you need to buy an entire pod of three regardless. Read somewhere since the attendance was only 12.5k of the 18k allowed and I don't think the hurling sold out Saturday either.
The hurling was on at an ungodly hour for Kilkenny fans, also with the fine weather a hell of a drive from here
Been getting around to the local club for the senior football league games past few weeks. Really enjoying it. Very impressed with the standard. Some lads definitely putting in the hard yards to be playing with that intensity.
Shocking game between Cork and Kerry today, the distance between the two "best" teams in Munster is awful. Interesting to see how Kerry match up against the Dubs this year, it feels like the gap might be as narrow as it's been in a long long time and a very young Kerry team but until we see proper championship tests later on it's hard to know.
And Kerry were poor for one whole half. Genuinely interested to see if the concern for inter county championship football becomes the narrative this week on the back of that game. It should. Decent game at HQ. Galway just ran out of steam.
Tickets for Leinster final gone up on site. Pods of 2 and 3's not allowing me to basket them. Will check again throughout the week
Got sorted for Ulster Final on Saturday. It’s a bit of mess with 5 counties playing. Some clubs applied for 600 tickets and got less than a 1/3. A lot of disappointed people. Don’t think there will be a general sale
