I've just recently moved into an apartment and it's already wired for NTL. Have always had sky digital at home. What's the story with ordering pay per view events on NTL?

With sky i could always just press the red button? I hope the sky box office channel is available through NTL?

I could risk trying to stream the fight online but worried in case it doesn't work and I miss it!

    Any info greatly appreciated.

it's just a matter of ringing them up and they'll stick the cost on your next bill..
the ppv channel is still coming in on the dodgyboxes,if you can get a lend of one of them for the night you'd be able to watch it for free..;)

Why am I been ripped off by Mr Murdoch because I live in Ireland ???

To book this match it costs £14.63 in the UK that is €16.31 in Ireland but Sky want €21.48 from us ?????? no recession round here eh !!!

Cheers man ... I wasn't sure cause i went through all the channels last night trying to find a PPV or Box Office channel like sky have but not a sign of anything. I guess after you order it a new channel appears then does it?

Yeah theres always a risk alright but im 95% certain of good streams being available so Im gonna take my chances with the online myself rather than pay 20 odd quid!

And no man, wont be watching on justin.tv unless its worst case scenario. Its handy in that you dont have to install anything but it can be very hit and miss and is liable to stall at any time as its p2p,I'll be watching it on sopcast as you're actually watching it on a US TV station so its not at the streamers discretion when it gets cut off!

It's not just a standard HDMI cable ninja is it? I got one with my tele aswell and I'm using it for the DVD player but it has a USB style connector and I was wondering.

I'll be online for this fight so if you have any streams would be greatly appreciated if you could post them.

No worries man Ive seen it advertised on a fair few sites so will throw the best streams up here! PS-I would deffo advise you to download Sopcast first though as its very good for both the boxing and football...

On the cable, mine is samsung but since it fits from a dell laptop into a samsung telly i presume theyre just standard.

Actually, just googled "HDMI Cable" and the cable looks different to the one i have-its the same round shape on both ends like the top one above so im not sure if HDMI is the correct name for the cable?!

Never used Sopcast so I'll look into downloading it this week.

I also have a samsung tele and a dell laptop so I can't be far off, i'll look into the cable issue during the week.

Will keep an eye out for your stream on saturday though. Fair play!

you're right ninja, it is called a hdmi cable, I bought one as well. my laptop has hdmi connection. paid 50 quid for it. hdmi to hdmi is supposed to be way better. I havent used it yet but will be doing so at weekend. A friend of mine said he bought cable for a tenner that has hdmi one end for the tv and usb the other end(as he doesnt have hdmi connection on laptop) he says this works perfect for him, but he's one of those that i got mine for 40 quid cheaper and it works better then yours kind of person so i dont know. Ninja-have you connected laptop to for a game yet? my tv is 42 inch and wondering does it distort the pic when connected?
