Anyone playing? I just signed up to senior league (over 35 ehem coughs) and man forgot how hard playing 11 a side on a full pitch can be. had 2 training sessions a match on Sat. its going to be a killer.

BTW I just meet that age criteria :p

Used to play alot of junior footie (aul). Had to retire a few years ago after I snapped my cuciate ligament for the second time:( . Did a bit of coaching for a bit then and went back trainin this year for a bit of fitness and a kickabout and tore the hamstring. I'm still way too young to play in your league Liam tho :).
best of luck with it mate enjoy it, I really miss playing

There's nothing like playing mate. Trust me, it will get a lot easier after a few training sessions and 3/4 matches. Just make sure they don't stick you in goal, from my experience as I've gotten the wrong side of 30 (just!) centre half involves the least amount of running:)

One real downside for me though is missing a few Reds games on telly as we play on a Saturday (1.15 ko this week).

Anything like an over 40 (even deeper cough), 30 fags a day, utterly decrepit league around North County Dublin or Meath?

Not joking btw would love to get out playing again...or at least watching a game pass me by!!
