Looks like Carson could be getting his wish and putting his England career ahead of his Liverpool one. Can't blame him for wanting to play regularly though. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premiership/article2224974.ece
If it does happen i have no problems whatsoever, already proved hes a great goalie, and loaning him out again won't do any harm, keep improving him till he can take Pepe's place!
It will be a long time before he takes Pepe's place, they are too young keepers...I think it's going to be one or another, and Pepe's the better of the two in my opinion...it would be great to keep the two, and him going on loan is only going to add to his value this season...
12m price tag on Carson's head if you believe the press hacks. I doubt it's that much but I'd imagine it to be a lot higher than the 6m valuation of him this time last year. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2007/08/09/12m-just-for-a-reserve-89520-19599178/
whyyyy cant we sell him? 6-8m get it done once n for all he's never going to be our #1 unless reina has some tragedy.
agree with that - bulgarian lad unproven and at least carson has good prem experience. one hallmark of all title winners in the prem has been a consistent man between the sticks eg seaman, schmeichal, flowers and cech. rafa must have a contingency in place...i hope
i heard that man city are after him and rafa has put 12mil on him i would loan him out again rather than sell is a very good keeper but how long will be happy with been number two
Dont think we should sell him but would agree with sending him out on loan. £2.5 for a years loan seams a bit mad. Wish i'd seen more of him last season so would love to get to see him more this season if he was loaned out to city or Villa
I think its fine to keep loaning him out and keep him on our books long term as he's a fine keeper. But how long can we keep doing this - I mean Pepe is a class act and unless he gets a major injury or homesick there's no way Carson is going to break into the first team, imho anyway.
