I think our 84 team was much better than the 77 one, with our 89 team been up there.I don't agree with this list but its interesting to see what some people think.

How do people come up with these tables - do they cast a world wide vote (in which case we'd probably rig it to have the Irish team of 1973 to be number one!) or do they just lock a few of their employees in a room to come up with this stuff? How someone can come up with the Celtic, Denmark, River Plate and Spurs as being superior to the team of 77 is beyond belief, and not a mention of the 84 team! Rubbish.

1 Brazil 1970 - deservably no. 1 best ever team to play football
2 Hungary 1953 - changed the face of football in the fifties
3 Holland 1974 - Cryuff and Co. played the best football seen at the time
    4 Milan 1989-90 - Arrigo Sacchi's Milan ran amuck
5 Brazil 1958 - only reason there here is because of Pele and Garrincha
6 Real Madrid 1956-60 - 5 in a row playing no bodies but had a great team
    7 Brazil 1982 - overrated
8 Barcelona 1991-94 - Cryuff's Barca 3 in a row and European winning team class Act
9 Italy 1934-38 - first two winners of world cup with the same squad takes a lot of doing
    10 France 1998- 2000 - Overrated
11 River Plate late 1940s - Never Heard of them
    12 Ajax 1971-73 - European Cup winners 3 in a row
    13 Bayern Munich 1974-76 - European Cup winners 3 in a row
14 Celtic 1967 - All the team were in a 10 mile radius of Parkhead what an achievement and first British team to European Cup
15 France 1984 - Platini, Giresse, Tigana and Fernandez - class
16 Denmark 1986 - suprised everybody in that world cup
    17 Real Madrid 1998 - overrated
18 Totttenham 1961 - double winners under Nicholson good team
19 Liverpool 1977 - Unlucky Treble hunters class act of a team
20 Manchester United 1999 - played nice football but were lucky to win the Treble

    ----------------------

Liverpool 77-84 were unreal and 88-89 not to mention our mid-sixties team to the 74 team

Liverpool team of 86-91 would have won one or 2 more european crowns ( certainly the 88 team I think). Barca 91-94, werent they beaten 4-0 in athens in 94. Brazil 82, a great team, but didnt win much. And to be honest as amazing as some of that milan team were, I think if we were in europe then, they wouldnt have dominated as much...wed definately have beaten them at least once

Any one buy this magazine? Thinking of downloading a couple of their issues. Seen a few lads on Boards recommending this Magazine.

What other decent football magazine's do people buy?
