I think we'll win comfortably. 3-0 at home against them should be to hard to achieve :)

Should be a comfortable win and another chance for Babel to build on his last few performances. Hopefully Rafa doesn't mess too much with the starting line up, would like to see Alonso get a few games under his belt, would be a great help if he could find some good form with Inter, Utd and Everton coming up over the next few weeks.

I reckon 2-0 (depending heavily on team selection)

This has to be a win and a comfortable win at that.

The way we have been playing lately and scoring a good few goals in the last few games suggests we should get a couple at least.
Will be interesting to see what team he starts but i would go with the same that beat bolton, formation was good and gerrards free role let him do damage.

Agreed, if he didn't change the team i would have no complaints at all, but he may change the right full and put carra back inside and rest big sami, as for the formation, i think it is the best for the players we have, we only have one world class centre forward, and gerrard needs space and freedom, while we still have the comfort of two excellent midfielders.
good to see xabi back, and had an improved performance against bolton which was definetly required.

why do we play in the league this week and the CL next week...?
wouldn't it make more sense to play the CL at the same time as everyone else and play WHU next wednesday?

also yeah if anyone has *any* idea of coverage for this one, seems every channel is covering the CL

Because AC Milan also need to use the San Siro this week. Whoever drew Internazionale in this round of the European Cup was always going to have to play the 2nd leg a week later than everyone else.

Does anyone know where this will be online? If TVU Player will have it on one of their channels?

I'd be happy with this team

    Reina
    Finnan Carragher Skertal Aurelio
    Mascherano
    Pennant Gerrard Babel
    Kuyt Torres

Anyway we have to win this. I reckong we'll win 2 - 1!

if we took fourth spot now, i'm sure the other teams around us would start fretting, both above and under us...

Steve Bennett is the ref for this one. he has referee'd us twice at anfield this season so far in the league, our 4-0 beating of Bolton at the start of December, and then for our 1-1 draw with Wigan at the start of December.

3-1 to the redmen is what im predicting for this one. bennett to award a peno to both sides

We'll set-up differently to Bolton game - we're at home so no real chance of catching Hammers on the break. That'll inevitably mean some players will change to suit the system and the opposition.

I think he may rest Torres who looked a bit sluggish on Sun. So that could mean Crouch could be in for a starting place. Wouldn't be surprised to see Benayoun either. Also one of Masch/Alonso/Gerrard could miss out (can't see him dropping Torres and Gerrard though...)

West Ham got spanked at the weekend so they could have got a bollicking and be really up for it but they have nothing to play for - they'll remain in 10th regardless of the result - so I predict 2-0.

Also reckon we're overdue to score from a corner so I reckon Skrtel or Sami could well get on the scoresheet!!

    Crouch and Sami/Skrtel 2-0...

2-0 to the reds, time to forget about that horrible result/performance in Upton Park.
