People will get caught out even more this time seeing as the Mancs are at home that same day, so that handy avenue was certainly going to be cut off.

A bit more hassle involved, but the Birmingham option is currently a very cheap and do-able option for those who want to go to this one.

True, but you'd certainly make the 10pm flight back.

Martin Atkinson is the ref for this game. This will be the third time he has referee'd Liverpool in a cup game this season. he refed the league cup games away to reading and chavski.

This will be his fourth visit to Anfield and we have yet to register a win with him in charge. Time for that to change then!!

I reckon Rafa will rest a few of the big guns for this one, although hopefully not Riena as his backup is not great.

Reina, Finnan, Arbeloa, Hyppia, Riise, Pennant, Alonso, Lucas, Benayoun, Crouch, Kuyt

Subs: Torres, Itandje, Carragher, Gerrard, Masherano

Looks like the injuries are clearing up and Rafa is going to field a strong team for this one.

Feb 14 2008 by Tony Barrett, Liverpool Echo

    Rafa Benitez (158)

RAFA BENITEZ has been given a major boost as Liverpool head into one of the most crucial weeks of their season.

Injured quartet Fernando Torres, Fabio Aurelio, Sami Hyypia and Alvaro Arbeloa have all returned to training and are in contention for a starting place against Barnsley in the FA Cup on Saturday.

With a crunch Champions League tie with Inter Milan and a Premier League game with Middlesbrough to follow, Benitez is delighted to have four of his senior squad members back.

"I need to consider both games but I know it's important to progress in the FA Cup, so I will try to use a strong team,†said the Reds boss.

"Sami Hyypia is improving. He did the warm up and could be available, but we will have to analyse the situation. Torres also did the warm up, as well as Fabio Aurelio and Alvaro Arbeloa , and they are really close.

"Now it is about whether we will take the risk or not.

"For Inter, Torres will be okay. We will have to check before Barnsley."

Torres’ return, in particular, is a major boost as the Spanish striker has made a quicker than expected comeback from a minor hamstring injury sustained on international duty with Spain.

Aurelio, Arbeloa and Hyypia have also recovered from the minor injuries which kept them out of Liverpool’s goalless draw with Chelsea at the weekend and will come into contention for places in Benitez’s starting line-up for this Saturday’s FA Cup fifth round tie at Anfield.

And with long-term injury victim Daniel Agger now back in full training, Benitez will be delighted to see his squad strength bolstered at such an important stage of the season.

    The mad news has started!!

    Skrtel to miss Tykes clash

Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel is a major doubt for Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Barnsley after he picked up a calf injury in training.

The news comes as a blow to Rafa Benitez, who will now have to decide whether to risk Sami Hyypia ahead of Liverpool’s clash with Inter Milan in the Champions League next Tuesday.

With Daniel Agger still recovering from a metatarsal injury, it could also mean a place in the squad for Spanish youngster Mikel San Jose, who was on the bench at Chelsea on Sunday.

Well hopefully young jose can get a run and establish himself as a real contender for a position, at the very least on a rotation.

Hope Rafa doesn't play Torres, we can beat them without him and have him ready for Inter...

If anyone wants to watch the match online, its on Star Sports. This is available using the TVUPLAYER.

I generally use this site to check if matches are on any of the P2P online tv stations

Heres hoping for a comfortable result, put them away early and rest Gerrard if he plays!!!!
