Right here we go. As i said, hopefully 3 on the bounce for me.

And also as i said, we owe this shower a beating.

I'd go with a 451 for this game,

    Reina
    Kelly Skrtel Agger Enrique
    Bellamy Henderson Spearing Gerrard Suarez
    Carroll

Turns into a 433 when we're on the attack.

They're missing a lot of players so we could really batter these.

There is no point playing 3 or 5 at the back against Tottenham. They are very attacking and that formation would play into their hands.

4-4-2 i say, and i would go with:

    Reina

    Johnson
    Skrtel
    Agger
    Enrique

    Henderson
    Adam
    Gerrard
    Downing

    Bellamy
    Carroll / Suarez ?

I wouldn't have Johnson in there, we need defenders and johnno isn't one of them. Martin Kelly will put Bale in his pocket.

I really can't wait to see Luis back in action and firing on all cylinders. This will be tough but they are prone to errors and if we play like we did v the manc scum we will do em.

I would go with Johnson myself. Had a great game at the Lane against Bale last season. I think Bale would burn Kelly if he got a run at him.

    Hi

I was well up for this game, before it got shifted and I had to return tickets ...now, on the back of recent games, it's almost killin' me that I won't be there, have a feeling this is going to be a very special Monday night ....

We need to go for these guys big time, from the second the whistle blows. If I were Kenny, I'd be putting out a very attack minded team at the start and press hard for a couple of goals first half, then adopting a bit of a more defensive second half if ahead by a couple of goals (not just one, it's hardly ever enough, imho)

Glen hasn't been doing much to impress me, by way of defensive play (I've actually always felt we might have been better off bringing him up the pitch and training him as a winger, but anyway ...) while it's a bit of a toss up as to whether I'd play Maxi or not, given he knows how to score goals but equally, I'm not sure about his fitness levels and think he's struggling a bit, so probably have both Glen & Maxi on the bench.

    -- -- -- --Reina-- -- -- --

    Kelly - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique --

    --Henderson - Gerard - Adam --

    -- Suarez -- -- Bellamy --

    -- -- -- -Carroll- -- -- --

I'd say he just can't wait to get on the pitch, myself.

No doubt he's been training with the rest of the lads, just case he's been suspended from competitive football doesn't mean he'd be sitting back and given his reaction to the goals last week, there's no way this lad will be happy sitting on the bench .... let him start, if necessary, we can take him off later in the game, although I suspect he'll be walking off the pitch with the ball under his arm and 3 goals to his name, come next Monday night ;)

I'd play 4231, I think this has always been our best formation

We're up against the best team in the league at the moment but I think we can get 3 points here. Confidence should be high and Carroll should be a real problem for them.

Can't see Johnson being dropped. Not saying I agree with it but I just can't see it. Need Dirty Kuyt on the right here to help Johnson deal with Bale. Should do the trick hopefully. However you don't really know where Bale will be playing these days so need another big performance from Spearing too for when Bale starts to roam.

I am really really looking forward to this one. I think I'll be visiting a Public House to enjoy it rather than watching at home.

I think either Suarez or Bellamy won't start here because I'd expect Carroll and Downing to start. With United the following sat I'm thinking Luis for 60/70 mins Craig for the rest.

    I'd go for:

    Reina
    Johnson Skrtel Agger Enrique
    Adam Gerrard
    Kuyt Suarez Bellamy
    Carroll

Should have a good attacking edge with this formation and its probably our best one based on form.
