    If yer hooking up yer laptop to yer telly. What do ya have to do?

    I have a cable that looks right.

    Do I need a certain programme or just plug the fcuker in?

    Never done this before. And i want to watch a documentary (paradise lost)

    You get a VGA cable or hdmi cable from your laptop to tv and select pc in the source menu on the tv.

    just back from the most boring day ever with the extended in law family.months mind mass for the grandad in law followed by sitting in their house from half ten to about quarter to four trying to wind up the sister in laws boyfriend for entertainment.

    Oh yeah i see the HDMI port in my telly.

    I only have the usual computer cable with 3 rows of 5 "prongs".

    Will that do?

    Is the HDMI better? Is there anything I can borrow a hdmi off? Like say, my UPC box or something?

    (sorry for all the questions)

    I hooked the laptop up to the tele today,with a HDMI lead but it didnt work.Worked Grand with a VGA cable.Do certain laptops only work with HDMI leads?

    I have it hooked up via the regular cable now.

    But dont know how to tune it in.

    For fcuk sake Eric. Why dont you live in Dun laoghaire ya big wanker
