Rodolfo Borrell will take his Liverpool reserve side to Ireland next month for a pre-season friendly against Bray Wanderers.

The game, which will be played at the Carlisle Grounds in Bray, Co. Wicklow, will take place on Monday 18th July, kick-off 7.45pm.

Tickets for the match are priced at 20 euros for adults and 10 euros for OAPs and schoolchildren. They are now available from Ticketmaster.

Tickets will also be on sale from Bray Wanderers at 01-2828214.

Pat Devlin, Manager of Bray Wanderers FC, said: "We are delighted that a Liverpool XI has agreed to visit Bray. It promises to be a great occasion for Bray Wanderers, and I have no doubt that the game will be a tremendous advertisement for the club and the town.

"To have a club with the great tradition of Liverpool visiting us is something that we should be very proud of. There is a huge amount of supporters of Liverpool within the area, and I know that they will be very keen to avail of the opportunity to see the upcoming stars from Anfield.

"I would particularly like to thank Kenny Dalglish for his assistance with this game, and hope that all who travel from Liverpool enjoy their time in Bray."

20 euro is steep considering its a friendly and a competitive game over here is priced cheaper

Steep indeed, its just a money spinner, but I'll be bringing my little brother, and its always nice to see ANY Liverpool team play in Ireland,.

Regardless of the ticket price its helping out a League of Ireland side. And what better way to help than to go and see the team you support play. Its a win win situation for everyone.

Going off topic i know but a pity Bray can't help junior football in Wicklow with a link up with a local club instead of St Joes who are outside Wicklow! I know plenty in the area who won't go to Bray as a result.

At least you know what your getting in advance I suppose, and its not just advertised as Liverpool v Bray, if fans want to see the reserves they can pay the money and if they don't they don't have to.... I'll probably pop out for a look myself

I might head to this alright but 20 quid is steep enough for a friendly considering it's our reserves playing.Hopefully we will get to see Jesus,Sterling and Morgan play.

Time was when Liverpool used to send their first full teams over here. Anyone remember the famous game against Dundalk when Cathal Muckian scored that famous headed goal. Shame for the youngsters.

Bray have signed numerous youngsters from local sides in Wicklow in recent years. It wouldn't make sense for them to agree a partnership with anyone bar Arklow Town (who are already with Sheffield United) but Bray often help out with local clubs end of season award ceremonies etc.

I am sure they have but that's not my point. Their feeder club is St Joes that's my point. It should be a local club that's all i am saying. Anyway going off topic.

100% of players from bray that would have the potential to make it play for joeys from a young age so in essence they are helping out bray people but I see what you mean, if they were to sign up with Wolfe tone or Ardmore or the like those players might not have to go to joeys

Anyway looking forward to this should be a good day! Liking the idea of IK pints in the hibo before and after

Remember they were one of the top schoolboy clubs at the time. How long did you play for them for?
