this is gonna get a mixed reaction this week id say on the one hand if we play like we did yesterday we should win no problem on the other roy's away record is shocking and if we go back into our shell we could get beat again
Bolton are a much changed side to the long ball side they were , this will be a much harder game than the last game v Blackburn , but hoping Roy throws away 35 years of over defensive football away from home and remembers with just 6 wins in 66 games in the premierleague ......... the mindset is wrong .
Just hope he realises what the team he has are capable of rather than playing the game he always has away from home. Whoever/whatever sparked the tactics on Sunday will hopefully inform him that being away from home changes nothing. We need to make teams fearful of us again by making them play our game whether we're at home or away.
Bolton are very hard to beat, draw specialists, with only one loss in 9, and that was away from home. Their defence is actually better than ours at the moment, I just hope our forwards will have more about them. Hopefully 1-2, could see a score draw.
Roy away record is quiet poor...if he wants to stay on as manager he really needs to put a run a of results together and get us clear of the bottom half of the table... Setting the team up for a draw here isnt really good enough, need to play the same way against Blackburn and get a win...
Never an easy place to go the reebok no matter what type of form your in. Hopefully the perfomance from Blackburn and the confidence that the players got from that win (especially Nando) can be shown here again. Cant see the team being much different and I hope the greek starts because I personally think he is our toughest defender and we will need plenty of this as Bolton know how to throw themselves around.
Unfortunately I can see a defensive line up for this one due to Boltons physical approach. These games are important as they will define our eventual position in the table at the end of the season. We have to start showing that we are capable of brushing aside these so called lesser teams.Back to back win would show great improvement and give the lads a much needed confidence boost.
He shouldnt change the team at all, team played well against Blackburn and he should throw caution to the wind and use the sam eteam, no one would blame him for that. Team playing well should be the team starting.
if chelsea beat blackburn 3-0 saturday we will be out of relegation on goal difference before bolton game
I would argue this new look Bolton side should be easier for us to beat than the old kick and run style team they had. We should not be bullied and have better ball players in our team so I am going here expecting a win and nothing less.
would like some of this please so we can play a nice passing game ....................reina.................... kelly....soto....agger.....konchesky ...............meireles.................... maxi.....gerrard...cole.....aurelio.... .................torres...................... Would also like to see shelvey get another run out for even just 5 mins
I'd imagine we're looking at the same 11 as last week but I'm more worried about the tactics we're going to employ. Please let's attack them from the off. Go toe to toe with them in a footballing contest and as long as we match their workrate there can only be one winner.
1 league away win in 2010 and Hodgsons cautious approach says this game has 0-0 written all over it but i really fancy Torres to bag at least 1,wouldnt put money on it but i think we might snatch a win.
I hope its more of the same from Roy, I'd be pretty confident going into this one after the way he put us out against Blackburn but his away record at Fulham and us so far makes me nervous. Have a great feeling for Raul, one of his bullits is due to smash the net soon enough!
I don't take any credit for discovering this but have checked it myself on an date calculator On Sunday it will be 442 days since Roy's last Premiership away win on the 15th August 2009. 4-4-2 formation anyone?
