    Good result and performance tonight and would like to see us carry that on! Would like to see two changes from tonights team Babel and Macherano in and Maxi and Lucas out.

    Reina
    Johnson Carra Kyriagkos Agger
    Yossi Gerrard Macherano Babel
    Kuyt Ngog

    Yossi looked good comin in from the wing tonightso more of the same and would like to see Babel run at the defence too. Gonna be tough but believe we can come away with result!

    No as far as I know his suspension has been served.

    Bit concerned about the travelling situation of the team, hope it doesn't effect them spending so much time on buses and trains. Personally would like to see Aqualani play too, think this sort of game would suit his creativity a bit more than the physical side of the premiership...

    The players will set off from Runcorn, and travel by train to London and Eurostar to Paris { over night stay } then to the south west of France, before flying from Bordeaux to Madrid .... 24 hours travel time .. 900 miles ..

    hopefully we getta result and an away goal. they have struggled a bit in la liga this season madrid but they have been very good in the cups so it will be a tough one.

    ill take a 1-1 draw.

    Unlikely, but I'm sure they will be up and running before the return leg.

    Hopefully that trip doesn't affect their play, I'd say it takes a lot out of you travelling that far

    The team are in Paris for the night. Pic is from outside the Gare de Nord.

    This was on the BBC reporter's blog earlier;

    Rafa strolled through into media carriage, Liverpool boss in good spirits smiling and chatting with journalists. Told me long journey not ideal but good for team building and morale. Sense Liverpool will be more than ready despite arduous trip and only halfway there!

    Gona miss maxi thursday, really came on in last few weeks, I'm a massive Yossi fan but I would not be surprised if we sell him during the summer, yossi and Riera = funds for half decent winger with pace for the left, this will happen if Rafa stays IMO

    couldn't they have hired a helicopter?:confused: i am sure the players could chip in to pay for it and be more relaxed than travailing by road/train.

    every time nando gets a chance to play against ath madrid hes injured:(
