Lads/Lassies I am looking for a bit of advice on where to go. Getting married next June, going away for 3 weeks. Defo gonna do Vegas for a few days and also a week in St Lucia. I have around 6 or 7 days to fill. We plan on finishing in St Lucia, so we can go somewhere either before or after Vegas. Any suggestions appreciated.
Cayman Islands (Gran Cayman) would be worth looking into Bobby, fabulous place. Congrats by the way!!!
Went to orlando on mine had 14 days altogether spent the first 6 in orlando, did the shopping and the like then headed to Miami for three days stayed in the shore club ( robert di nero owns it ) then back to orlando to do all the parks great if your into all that sort of stuff mate
Just going to say Orlando, brilliant place to go for shopping and the parks. Been there twice and would go again given the chance
A must, royal caribbean curise, check out the freedom of the sea's aka the biggest curise ship on earth, and you'll see places like jamaica, mexico, grand caymen and more, everyone i know that has been on this boat has loved it.
if the yanks are still screwing up LFC by then , what about a quick double murder week , and become a LFC LEGEND ::::: sorry about that i'm just sick of them ;;;; never been 2 the states so i can't give any advice --- but i hope you have a cracking time , and congrats ;;;
what about a week in new york my mam and sis where there 2 years ago and said they did little to no shopping because there was plenty to do and see around the city
By the way, did anyone else see the title of this thread and think "whip, handcuffs, feather-dusters"?
No Gary that was just you. One guy did suggest I turn my honey moon in a murder spree though. How romantic we are on irishkop.
haha, yeah a quick murder spree followed by a bit of S&M, I bet you're glad you asked now!! Anyway, apologies for taking thread off-topic. Hope you get some good advice. PS not to harp on about my idea, but Cayman is just off coast of America (as you probably know) so should be no hassle fitting it in, logistically, if you were to decide to go for it. New York seems a good idea too, if you havent been already.
we went to mexico for our honeymoon last year lovely place altogether most of the resorts are all inclusive and you wouldnt need to step outside them for the whole of your holiday.its very warm and humid too though we were there at the start of april and the heat was killing us.id still recommend it though
Looked into Cayman, seems very similar to St Lucia. Heading into trailfinders tomorrow, will ask them about it. Thanks for all the ideas people, I will consider them all, might even visit my uncle in Texas and kill tom and george while I'm there
Don't do it Bobby you can still be free. Went to Vegas last year on my honeymoon and then went to Santa Monica for a week. Santa Monica was lovely, close enough to LA to do the tours but nice and peaceful, down the road from venice beach and about an hour from Malibu too. I enjoyed it and so did herself.
If you have the time and can get there while heading to St Lucia ago to Cuba for a few days though I dont know wether you can fly direct from the US you could'nt when I was there, they may have relaxed the rules since, 2 days in Havanna is enough, and you can do a day trip to Santa Clara which is were they won the revolution in 1950's and have Che Guevara's body buried, its an amazing place, If you have achance get to see Cuba before Castro dies as it'll all change then, I spent a Month there in 2005, best place i've been to, lovely people really safe, Havanna is like a 1950's time warp, if you want any info pm me.
Cuba was my orginal choice (Vegas,Cuba,St Lucia) but it looks like they still dont go direct from the States. Bit sad in this day and age if you ask me. Quickest flight I can get is 19 hours either through Canada or Mexico, safe to say I wont be doing that. If I manage to find a quicker route its definitley a place high up on the list.
