eircom broadband help!!

    ok this may be a stupid question but here goes, i dont have a phone line, but if i get a line in but dont use the phone just pay the rental, can i get broadband in. me and my ma and my bro all use 3 broadband so we pay €20 a month each, is there any broadband packages for €40 or somethin?? wats the best way around this cause my ma wont have a phone back in as we all have mobiles??

    no one, just some cable ting my ma got in at a once off cost only has mtv,sky, e4, and sky sports one as well as like htv bbc and rte1 or 2.

    They may have a broadband package which includes line rental, probably best off ringing them and they will tell you the different broadband packages etc.

    I had broadband from ntl in my old place without the phone, I did have my tv package with them mind, but theres no harm ringing them. My broadband works out at about 24euro per month I think.

    Digiweb DSL is €52 p/m for 4mb inc line rental ... and all landline calls are free.

    it's fast enough for games online on the xbox anyway.

    go with imagine absoulutely best crowd ever for broadband i have a 7 mb line with unlimited downloads and its only 70 per a month with phone line rental and all national calls

    :eek: thats expensive. I have hd digital, sky sports, espn, phone with all national calls free and the internet for 124 a month

    You can also buy a 3g modem/router that will take the 3G sim. A colleague has a setup like this with a Vodafone connection.

    Be careful with 3G routers - have a look at the vodafone site before you buy any 3G router, it has the hot and not so hot spots.

    Where are you in Wicklow?
