Recently ran a virus scan and wondering if it may have deleted items that I was unaware of...
Am now getting a message 'the item that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved,so this shortcut will no longer work properly.
Do you want to delete this shortcut, and only gives yes or no option.
Any1 any ideas on how I can access the files on my hard drive?

    Thanks

So am I right in thinking that the shortcuts are to files on the hard drive?
Is the hard drive an external or internal one?
You may have to do a search to find the file, and then re-direct the shortcut to it, or create a new short cut to it,.

Yeah shortcuts to internal hard drive, have done a search to find the file and when I click on it thats when the message shows up. I'll try to create a new shortcut to it, see what happens, cheers.

The shortcut is a link to the executable for the application or a file. If say, the shortcut was a link to start Championship Manager, just go to the CM folder and create a new shortcut from the launch file by right clicking on the file and choose "create shortcut". Then drag and drop the new shortcut to the desktop - and your done!
