Tevez rejects move to Inter Milan

West Ham striker Carlos Tevez has turned down a move to Inter Milan after the Italian champions imposed a deadline for him to make a decision.
The 23-year-old has been linked to several clubs in England and abroad but is keen to stay in the Premier League.

A statement from Tevez's representative Kia Joorabchian said: "Inter put a deadline on the decision and Carlos' heart is really in the Premier League.

"He was not prepared to meet that cut-off point put on him."

Joorabchian insisted that the Hammers are in talks to keep the Argentina international but played down reports of a £100,000 package being offered to convince him to stay.

The Iranian businessman added: "That is "absolutely not true".

"He has not been offered that sum of money to stay, but it is true we are still talking and hope to come to some arrangement."

Arsenal, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Inter were among the clubs strongly linked with a move for Tevez but Inter have ruled themselves out of the running due to their demands.

Inter president Massimo Moratti told his club website: "Tevez is no longer a target, we are fine as we are in attack."

    Bad news in a way!

I really think this is bad news as I don't think he will come to us....

Could see him going to the Scum down the road now and that would be the worst thing that could happen... He is a quality player, hope he doesn't go to them

I would hate to see any of the top three getting him. Arsenal are the favourites I'd say after terry henry's departure and the fact they are based in London aswell. For me he would be a better option than Torres (wouldn't need time to get used to English football) maybe that deal for Torres mighn't be as sown up as the papers suggest.
As for the two of them signing for us....even the thought makes me feel like a kid before xmas :D

    Could it actually happen?

Would love to see this happen but can't see it as I don't think Rafa will want rid of Crouch or Kuyt and with Voronin coming in that would give us five strikers.... :(

Would also prefer Tevez to Torres, hes alot more aggressive and has proven himself in Prem.

    Sorry Mal5times....

Maybe Tevez could be signed as a link man to replace Garcia... then it could still be a possibility :D

yeah I like your way of thinking, forget Yossi as a new link man to replace Luis get Tevez. Capital may be the stumbling block though

    Hi

How much do you think we'd be talking about to sign him ?

.. I reckon, we might have a chance given the friendship with our new (& almost) favorite midfielder etc.

I'd say, if he was not toooooo expensive, we just might go for him .... now just think, himself & Torres alongside Gerard, JC etc and we really are competing for the Premiership, the CL etc :)

I read somewhere an on-loan for the season maybe on the cards. Maybe we sell them Bellamy for a lowish price, loan Tevez and then have option to buy at one year. Why would West Ham agree?? well if Tevez was to get stroppy and demand a move maybe. A pipe dream, but I'll smoke it

Ah it's still good to hope though. I'd love if Kuyt started scoring loads next season, I don't know why but he's one of my favourite players.

I think it's Kuyt's work rate that makes him a favorite with the fans and players. Something that Bellamy lacks (maybe it also has something to do with his golfclub reputation;))

Looks like Mancs are favourites to sign him now..........bol**cks!
I'm hoping Real come in with a late bid, would rather not see him playing against us in the Prem next season, especially for that shower!
