    The poor chap, scores his second ever Ireland goal last night and has to be booed off. Is he done with Ireland now? I hope not...

    Wouldn't have thought so, still our best right back by a distance. Depends on who the new manager is as well i guess!!!!

    I think he will finish up with Ireland.
    In fairness he is probably right to extend his career with the reds.
    Joey O brien can slot in there with Ireland now.

    poor stevie was embarrassed when he scored not like the other eejits jumping on him as though we had just levelled against brazil...
    hopefully there is a new manager persuading him to stay on.

    well done to steve finnan on having the good grace not to celebrate what was a very well taken goal (wish he'd do it for liverpool) he knew it was embarrasing to need a last minute goal to earn a point against cyprus

    Its was a great finished, but like someone already said, he had great class not celebrating. It would be gutting to see him quit international football as he has never let us down, be it playing left or right back or right mid. I reckon he'll stay on, fingers crossed.

    i actually think he was 1 of the better performer's against cyprus.it will depend on who has the job at the end of the current campaign that will decide steve's faith i think.:D
