Very surprised about the New Years Day fixture. This is from the Premier League rulebook 2013/14. L.4. League Matches will be played on New Year’s Day unless it falls on a Thursday or Friday and F.A. Cup matches are scheduled to be played on the immediately following Saturday.
Not a bad fixture list at all. The big games are all spread out a bit, there's no congested period of tough games. I'm not that concerned about the opening 6 games either. Southhampton, Spurs, Villa & West Ham are all 'bread and butter' games (if we don't have the belief to beat them, what hope does our season have). City away is obviously a biggy, as is Everton at home. After that we've a nice run of 4 games before we take on Chelsea at home and another 5 handy games before Arsenal at home. We should be aiming to in the top 2 (I think Chelsea are going to be the team to beat next season) in the New Year with those fixtures.
07 Feb 2015 3pm Everton (A) 10 Feb 2015 8pm Tottenham Hotspur (H) 21 Feb 2015 3pm Southampton (A) 28 Feb 2015 3pm Manchester City (H) 03 Mar 2015 8pm Burnley (H) 14 Mar 2015 3pm Swansea City (A) 21 Mar 2015 3pm Manchester United (H) 04 Apr 2015 3pm Arsenal (A) That's a fairly tough run of games right there is it not? Add the possibility of CL games in there as well.
Chelsea and then Palace before our final game...just like last season! (apart from being away then home)
Our fixtures before and after the six Champions League midweek games are good and certainly not something to complain about.
All of them! I never get too excited about fixture lists, you play every team twice in the season, 3 points in the first game of the season is worth as many as 3 points on the last day of the season and all games in between work the same. As the great man said "we'll play all the games and count up the points at the end and see how we did".
Looks like the 24th of August is going to be a Super Sunday as we play Man City and Arsenal play Everton, all the rest are crappy matches, so what did i do last weekend, yep me and my lad booked the Christening for my Grandson on the 24th of August. Just hoping BT have the choice and have us Saturday. Do BT still have the early choices like last season when they picked us loads of times.
One of those games is nailed on to be on the Monday night. Sky have done this the last few years on the Monday night prior to 2nd round Football League fixtures. Both fixtures involve teams not entering the competition at this stage. From a ratings point of view I think the LFC fixture will be the Monday night.
It was 11th July last year. Last year was the first year of the present TV deal with two TV companies battling it out for the 1st time to secure the best that they could. The same TV deal applies this season so hopefully negotiations go about smoother this time around and we might get the fixtures a week earlier which would be more in line with the previous seasons.
September 16,17 September 30, October 1 October 21, 22 November 4, 5 November 25, 26 December 9, 10 One other observation I would make looking at the fixtures and in particular the six midweek nights that BT have 1st picks for TV is that they will be very disappointed with those rounds of fixtures. BT will not have as many good games as they had last season. Sky must be laughing.
got city away flights for 20 euro on the sunday. I reckon chelsea and united will be sunday games too.
We might just get this done earlier than before A definitive list will be compiled next week, which will take into account any changes that other clubs make in relation to their European games, with the first round of broadcast selections being made later this week.
