Liverpool have confirmed their Capital One Cup third-round tie with Middlesbrough will be played on Tuesday September 23. The Anfield clash will kick-off at 7.45pm BST and has to be decided on the night. Sky Sports will broadcast the game live.
There's nice flights for this without taking time off work, €40 return Was hoping it was the Wednesday
Good draw. Good chance to give some game time to young players/integrate new players such as Markovic and Can. Boro won't be push overs. Good test.
Delighted that it's at home and we clearly have a better squad this year so we should progress. No doubt they'll get an early goal and we'll make it difficult for ourselves!
I'd guess by this Friday as WHU details came out this morning an that's the game before Boro. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Good draw, ideally would have been at home but gives a real chance of last 4. With their win v west brom last round hopefully means no complacancy.
Oldham 3-2 Liverpool in fa cup in 2013. No room for complacency. We are a team who over the years have suffered too many shocks. This wont be easy. A chance at a trophy shouldnt be sniffed at. Winning this competition last year did a lot for city and wasnt it Joses first cup in England. Not to mention our great history in the competition
As things stand Bournemouth have won 4 in a row in the Championship and are 4th, 2 points off top. As things stand they are also the top scorers in the Championship. There are a good few games between now and this match but this match will be a lot trickier than it would appear at first glance. Bookies have us hot favourites to go through but our form YTD has been poor. Citah going out really opens the draw up. Win this and we're in the semi. As Kenny always says, we'll take it "one game at a time". We were 5 minutes from being gone versus Swansea so it's a great bonus to be in the hunt. p.s. Saw the Derby v Chelski draw and you'd fancy Chelski but Derby are top of the Championship with only 2 defeats in 14 games and have been knocking around the top end of the Championship for the last few Years. If Chelski don't field a strong team, Derby will definitely fancy this one. That would really blow it wide open - we're playing on the Weds so we'll know the other 3 semi finalists before we ko.
