Any recommendations??? (Burdocks and Beshoffs don't count) Best I've come across are: Mona Lisa - Crumlin Road (created the wurly burger I believe!!!) Macari - Tallaght Village Jons - Walksinstown Borza - St Peters Rd
Hoggy's in Cork. Travelled the world and I have yet to find a better chipper. I realise I have already hijacked the best chippers in Dublin thread btw
the origional borza on cromwellsfort road pisses all over borza on peters road ohh the flashbacks of the wurly burger
Yeah your right, I always get Cromwellsfort Rd mixed up with Peters Rd for some reason. Cracking food in there. StevieG I live in Kilnamanagh............we don't have a chipper
i travel to cork alot with work and i find dino's ? in Blackpool as one of the best anywhere.. nice and fresh..
Dino's is a good spot alright, but you can't beat a Hoggy burger at 3 in the morning after a heap of pints Last time I was home there were lost American students walking around Washington St looking for the place after hearing about it back in the states!
I've been to Dino's in Cork and it was nice, mates lived around the corner off the model farm road. Another place called Lennox's was good too.
Is right dave and the borza on whitehall road beside the sub is top notch too , mona lisa a good shout too
Took the words right out of my mouth. Fecking great kebabs (where have I heard that line before ?) and mates up from Wexford couldn't believe that snack box quality actualy varies from chipper to chipper but Macari's proved it. The kebabs formed a stable diet for my lot during college. Some Like It Hot in Drumcondra beside Quinns used to have a good rep but I never rated it myself as chanced its hand on the gourmet grease at one stage and didn't consider it a proper chipper. Is a complete dive now btw but survives off Croker match days. Funny about the Yanks looking for a reknown Cork chipper. The Premier in Wexford has the universal stamp of approval in that it become's a required port of call for anybody down there who would've heard about it at some stage from others. Its funny the whole Italian chipper thing. I work with first generation Italians just over here who are puzzled by the phenonomen whereas its another workmate's family business. At the end of the day beats fast food muck hands down which I don't bother with even when drunk. Always worth the wait and prefer a good chipper on a Saturday night than any oriental take away I have to admit.
I know its not in dublin but you could get the dart out if you wanted! Henry and rose in Bray what a chipper best burgers this side of the liffey. Bacon egg and Pinnaple Burger only massive
