Is this not all the more reason to go hell for leather in trying to sign him either now, or next summer ... obviously paying well over the odds for him to ensure we get him ?
Would you be happy going into next season if our choice of forwards was Sturridge, Berahino, Origi & Lambert?
Forgive me if this is an old story, but it's news to me (if true). http://kopworld.net/lfc-news/liverpool-almost-signed-falcao/5228 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No way. Take Sturridge's potential for goals out of that group and I think realistically you could be talking 20 goals between the other 3. If anything was to happen to Sturridge, we'd be in trouble. With Origi coming in I can't see why we'd need Berahino. Take the £20M Berahino would cost, add whatever we recoup from Mario and Fabio and then buy a top drawer goal scorer to share the load with Sturridge and Sterling.
Good few sites/papers spreading Lavezzi rumours. Just rumours though and I'm not sure what exactly he'd add to the 1st team.
I'd take him if the fee and wages were worth the gamble Our average age v Chelsea had a -4 year difference He would add experience and much needed European experience , his pressing and will to win is like Suarez just not scoring or providng the Assits I know he is capable of. ? £14m no tks £8m or less I'd give it serious consideration Wouldn't mind a loan with view to buy option since Laurent Blanc wants him out
I pretty much expected that we'd see the January transfer window going this way. I'd say it was clear enough there would be no money for new signings so firstly we tried to get Origi in early and were told that it would cost a few bob so the owners said jog one. Having failed to get Origi in early I'd say plan B was to recall Ibe to the squad. Regarding Ibe I really hope that what we've done is terribly shortsighted and that he's going to get games for us because he was getting great experience at Derby and was starting to look like a decent player, he needs nothing but first team football now to bring him to the next step.
The hard part is convinving the player to join us. The part I'm referring to is gathering the money to put together a financial package (fee and wages) to be able to consider a top drawer striker.
Would be a good signing can't see it happening as a matter I can't see us doing any business atal before the window closes, no Mon no fun......
How did Song play yesterday. I think he's perfect for a Rodgers team. Sent from my GT-I8160 using Tapatalk 2
He's on a bosman in the summer. I think he'll end up Arsenal or Spurs. I wouldn't mind adding him to our squad.
Ability and price wise Somg is perfect for us but there must be something amiss for him to be at West Ham Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Song was dreadful yesterday, constantly gave ball and frees away and Henderson and Lucas totally dominated midfield, said it here in summer I was all for signing song the previous summer but don't think he'd get in our team now, and nothing I've seen in the few and it was only a few times this season has changed that opinion.
