Do many on here buy the RAOTL fanzine? The editor of RAOTL John Pearman asked me do many Irish buy the fanzine - I wasn't sure. He emailed all supporters groups over here and very few have replied to him. Or buy The Liverpool Way even? Both are very good value at £2 and well worth the read but it's a struggle to keep them going. I have an agreement with John to take 15-20 issues back with me on every trip to sell to people over here and they are only too happy to buy them. Might be an idea for Irish Kop trips as well to purchase one or the other fanzine for the journeys back home.
Its actually something I have been meaning to do for a long long time is get a subscription for one of the top fanzines. What is the best fanzine in peoples opinion? I was looking at going with 'The Liverpool Way'
i havent bought any in a while but i used to buy red all over the land anytime i went over.what fanzines are on the go now anyway apart from the two mentioned.
Just the two mentioned !! Both are decent - RAOTL comes out at least once a month sometimes more - but I'd buy the two
Ye going to buy a fanzine outside the ground in future. I usually only read the notes from the manager and captain in the match day programme anyway.
I've bought the Liverpool way since roughly 2004. Love it. Dont use the forum, seem to remember some people on here having a problem with it and the moderator but not sure why. Would buy RAOTL irregularly.
The Liverpool Way is my fanzine of choice. used to have a subscription but I go regularly enough to pick it up at the ground now. It's really good, the editor is gas I browse the forums too but haven't posted in years
Never bought a fanzine and would not have bought a programme in about 10 years. I suppose I Spend enough time online and on forums. I do buy Four Four Two every month. Might pick up both fanzines this weekend though and have a look.
Well Red is a good read every 2 months but and loads of newsagents sell it over here, bit pricey tho @ 4.10. Some great articles serious and funny in it.
Don't bother with a programme ever either, always a bit "we are striving for 3 points today" type stuff I find with the fanzine it's just a normal fan's take on all that goes on. well I say normal, he has better insights than 99% of us could give as he goes to reserve games and has a season ticket and would hear bits and pieces off people about You wouldn't get a programme slagging off Fat Sam, Terry and the like, he really is very funny. a couple of the other writers and articles aren't as good but for £2 it's great
I pick up the two whenever at games. Always good reading on the way back home and in the few days after being over. Might look into a subscription now
Well Red, and the RAOTL fanzine are the best IMO. I stay away from Dave Usher's TLW for personal reasons.
Where do people pick these up while at Games? I usually see a Guy selling Mags outside the Albert in the middle of the road when the game is over. I have never bought a Fanzine but like other people on this forum i would be interested in getting one, just to see the content.
Theres always someone selling beside the albert before the match. The HJC shop sells RAOTL and Boss aswell
