This was in the Telegraph in Feb so I'd expect the channel might be paid subscription soon.

Further to my earlier post the reason for all channel moving is that on the SKY EPG guide (not ROI) though is that there will be 30-40 Olympic channels broadcast during the London Olympics.

Basically every single sporting event taking place during the London Olympics will be available on these channels live. The usual BBC red button service could not cope with all the extra feeds.

All these extra feeds will be FTA ie we can watch them in Ireland but they will not be on our Irish Sky guide. Of course it is possible to convert an Irish box over to a FTA UK box quite easily.

I've had sky for about 8 months and never even went to that channel because I assumed it was a pay channel! I feel like I've wasted 8 months of my life! Has it always been free and is it free on NTL too?

Just a heads up on this tonight. Might be worth a watch.

LFC TV is the place to be on Friday night when two stars of the all-conquering Liverpool sides of the 1980s take centre stage to reflect on their colourful Anfield careers.
First up at 8pm BST is Steve Nicol: The big interview, a show that was filmed during the Reds' pre-season tour of North America. That will be followed by 60 minutes with Craig Johnston at 9pm.

A utility player who joined the Reds in 1982, Nicol managed Major League Soccer outfit New England Revolution for nine years before parting ways with the club in 2011.

The Scot still lives Stateside and so he was keen to drop by and sit down with LFC TV presenter Matt Critchley to share his story during the summer tour.

He became a regular at Anfield during the 1983-84 campaign under the guidance of Joe Fagan and played his part in the Reds' victorious European Cup final win in Rome at the end of that year.

He was voted Footballer of the Year by sports writers in 1989 and went on to open and close the scoring when the Reds notched their highest ever league win by defeating Crystal Palace 9-0 the following season.

Signed by Bob Paisley, Johnston was one of Liverpool's most decorated players and went on to make 271 appearances in a red shirt, netting 40 goals.

He won league titles, a European Cup, FA Cup and League Cup winners' medals in a red shirt and was a player who never gave anything less than 100 per cent.

Although born in South Africa, he was brought up in Australia and the Kop took this fantastic character to their hearts.

He had many talents besides football. He was also a talented photographer, he penned the FA Cup final anthem the 'Anfield Rap', and after leaving the club he developed the adidas Predator boot.

He has a fascinating tale to tell so make sure you don't miss 60 minutes with Craig Johnston on LFC TV at 9pm on Friday night and be sure to tune in an hour earlier to catch Steve Nicol: The big interview.

The Craig Johnston programme was superb, probably the best I have seen - loved him as a player. An inspirational man

A fantastic interview, brilliant, Craig was not one of my favourite players at the time but after that interview would certainly be one of my favourite people, some of the players playing for Liverpool FC should take a look at this interview, it might just put some things into perspective for them and what it means to play for the greatest club in the world, excellent stuff

I have his book at home and it's a great read. Walk on it was called and he donated i think £1 or £1.95 of it to Heysel and Hillsborough i think. The sticker is still on the book as well. Must have a look at home.
