Watched a game of cricket at Alan Border Oval in Sydney. Without doubt the most boring day of my life. Although was hardly the Barmy Army. Would need a copious amount of beer to do it again

Absolutely brilliant news for the Irish cricket team after the reconsideration of the ICC to include a qualification process for the association nations in the tournament. The victory over England in the last World Cup has to be up there with some of the greatest sporting moments for this nation.

Not really looking forward to the start of 'The Ashes' tomorrow as it appears that the Aussies are no hopers for the series of tests. Eight years ago the Ashes series was amazing to watch.

Will be tuning into Channel 5+1 each night at 8pm for the highlights after the Tour de France coverage on ITV4 at 7pm.

Did the funbus crew go to the fancy rounders in the end?

Ireland finished the innings with 265 in Malahide, should be a good run chase for the afternoon if England are to win.

The stadium looks good. Kinda wish I went now, perfect day for sitting outside drinking.

Sachin Tendulkar retires, 200 tests, 100 100's, highest run scorer in history, the greatest ever, the word legend is bandied about to much but that man is a legend of sport.

Some batting collapse by England overnight. From 82/2 they went all out for 136.Australia leading by 224 runs. Was proving difficult to stay up to watch it so set the alarm for 0430
and got a few hours in before work.
