Just read there that that was the 200th game he played in where no goals were conceded, more than any other lpool defender.some achievement that.
Sad day today. Jamie Carragher is the 1st LFC player I seen break into first team and now retire. Named my 1st son after him. Truly a legend, shame he is gone. Best of luck and hope your back soon coaching or whatever, maybe winning the league as manager some day !
He will be missed. Played his heart out, as always, yesterday, still flying into last ditch challenges. Such a pity that thunder-strike didn't find the net. Would have been the icing on the cake
Legend is a term sometimes over used in Football, but if ever there was a modern legend, Jamie is it. Epitomized professionalism and loyalty. How do we replace him? We can't, we'll move on but there will be a huge gap which may take an age to fill.
An absolute legend, irreplaceable. Had a fantastic day at Anfield yesterday, but it was so hard to watch him defend our goal with such commitment thinking that it was for the very last time. He's always been there since I've been going in the late 90's and it's impossible to imagine our club without Jamie in it.
cant believe hes finished now, what a player, he gave everything. hope we get a player half as good as cara, but i'll be looking forward to see him on sky next season.
I thought his game improved, a lot, in the last 6 months (compared to the last 2 seasons) and a few weeks back thoigh he might consider a cameo role next season. He'll be missed. edit: Now he is retired Id love to see a new book come out, no holds barred!! The last book was great
I see he is on the fantasy football show on sky friday night. I wonder will he be part of the Sky coverage for the final on saturday night.
