LFC have requested to all PL clubs to reduce our allocations next season till all this shit stops. Piss off Ian Ayre
Surely it's up to other clubs to cut our away allocations if they so wish not for us to request that our allocations be cut.If that is true then it doesn't make any sense.
I think people need to see a bit of sense here, no matter how good people think they look if they makes even one fan uncomfortable enough to have to leave the game we should stop setting them off. I really can't understand people complaining about the club wanting to make the game safe for everyone, is it going to take a child having an asthma attack to make people stop?
No doubt Ayre think's this is a magnificant idea to help force more ticket sales for the home games, given fans won't be able to get along to the away fixtures - what a muppet It's not the solution, to the potential problem here ....
Where did you see that?. To be honest i havent been to an away game where one of them went off so ive just seen the pictures. There really is two sides to this i think, obviously no one wants to hurt anyone with them and they are very different to flares but if in the wrong hands it could do abit of damage or as said above if someone has a asthma condition etc it could do harm. I think they defo add to the atmosphere tho and look class, i can see a few clubs cutting our allocations next season over them but i think they should be allowed. Dont they allow them in some countries, germany been one maybe?, and thats with flares and they are the first few rows with lads that have them, stewards are aware of this and once the flare is almost out they have like small sand pits to throw them into and thats that. The fact that most clubs are screwing us over with their prices and away fans are sometimes treated like pigs smoke bombs should be allowed once its not out of control , pay enough to get to the game so would like to enjoy it more.
So what is the solution if there are those who ignore the club's request so that they can have "fun" despite the adverse effect on other fan's health? I think Ayre has made the request in order to emphasise how seriously the club wants us to take this matter.
This is a new craze so its safe to assume it's new away going fans doing it. By reducing the allocations they hit they newbies first and therefore stop the "problem" at source.
Perhaps find a safely manufactured alternative, or specify when they can be set off (i.e. after a match, or half time, when those not wanting to be part of it, could have time to get a safe distance) ? While I see where your coming from mate, I'd have thought the club could publically ask for the flares not to be set off a couple of times etc first - get fan clubs behind a "stamp it out" campaign etc. Paul, My point was that if they can potentially sell less away tickets to LFC fans, they might be able to sell more home tickets ... possibly Ayre's logic, not my own. I'd not thought about it like that, to be honest mate ... could be I guess.
They're brilliant. Generally those complaining will not have been to 13 aways & picked up their ticket through corporate/tout route So in turn I'm on the side of the young fellas helping make the place bounce again.
same here. It looks fantastic and good to see a bit of passion in our support. Too many auld fuddy-duddys out there.
Big annoucements as you walked into the Stadium yesterday that if you were caught you would be banned and removed. Surprised there wasn't any yesterday.
Mottram was also ordered to pay a £500 fine, £85 costs and £50 victim compensation. WTF is that victim compensation bit about? Four years is ridiculous too. You'd have to feel a bit sorry for the fella. Some of the other shite that goes on and nothing gets done. They seem to really have it in for smoke bombs
