In today's world of the fake hero and worshiped so called celebs A true hero will be laid to rest today A courageous woman who never gave up trying to right the wrongs Rest in peace Anne Williams
We got this email this morning My name is Sean Doyle and I am a member of the Hillsborough Justice Campaign and also a member of Hope for Hillsborough which was the charity set up by the late Anne Williams who lost Her son Kevin at Hillsborough in 1989 It was Kevin's first away game without his family and he died in the arms of a police officer with his final word being Mum. Anne fought a tireless battle for the truth about her sons death but lost her own struggle when she died of cancer this year. Anne spent every penny she had on searching for the truth about her sons death and this ended with the family not being able to pay for her funeral expenses. Unbelievable when you think about it, that a woman like Anne who singlehandedly took on the system and won was left penniless. Well that's where we come in We have arranged many fundraisers and this time it's for Anne's funeral expenses Please read link to Liverpool echo http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/anne-williams-family-pay-tribute-4727553 We are holding the Anne Williams Memorial Golf Day at Huyton and Prescott golf club on the 12th July My job is to try and get some items that we can sell / raffle to raise as much money as possible for Anne's charity and I was hoping that maybe you could help It could be something big or something small but anything would be helpful We do have items donated by Everton FC, Liverpool echo arena , Liverpool Tate, Liverpool ferries, Manchester City, Barry McGuigan , Ecclestone golf club, Jamie Carragher donated a signed top and scarf http://bit.ly/14X09ad Ricky Tomlinson and Frank Carlyle also donated items and we have many more bits that are en route.... we do have more items on the page with all money being donated to Anne's funeral expenses We also set up a just giving account for Anne http://www.youcaring.com/memorial-f...ser-/67894?fb_source=timeline&ref=profile#_=_ We have also set up a campaign for Anne o be recognised in the pride of Britain awards. Please vote and share http://www.prideofbritain.com/contentPages/forms/Nomination.aspx My job is to try and get items and to make Liverpool fans aware of the fundraiser and also things people can do to help Anne's family Please feel free to donate if possible and spread the word Many thanks Sean Doyle 07956905111 Justice for the 96 Hillsborough Justice Campaign.

Nominate Anne Williams for Pride of Britain Awards The Pride of Britain Awards 2013 are coming up, and they include a category for special recognition. The description of this category is: To recognise individuals who the judging panel consider to be Pride of Britain, but whose achievements do not fit into other categories. Examples include inspiring campaigners, members of the armed forces who have helped others, carers and volunteers. I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't know of anyone else that has campaigned as long & hard as the Hillsborough families have had to in order to get the cover-up officially recognised. At the forefront of this was Anne Williams, who sadly passed away earlier this year. I couldn't think of anyone more deserving of this award myself, if you agree you can submit your nomination by Clicking Here

What an incredible woman Well done to the BBC for the way they handled that tonight Lots of us shedding a tear looking at it I was lucky enough to meet Anne on a few occasions If the authorities had a fraction of her moral fibre the lies would have been dealth with years ago before more people passed without seeing justice served
Here's the link to the piece. You can access it down the right hand side. Very emotional viewing. www.bbc.com/sport/0/sports-personality/25368190
