No doubt he's well off but to turn down the undoubted millions he was due is really an unbelievable gesture - what a display of love for the club.
Is that for real mate? Not doubting ya for good reason (), but that's very interesting. If he knew that Fenway wanted him out, and attempted it twice, he clearly believed he was the right man. He always said he'd do what's in the best interests of LFC. If he took resignation and went upstairs it would be somewhat easier for the club from a PR perspective with the fans. Kenny, it could be argued, would have done something 'in the best interest of the club' (so to speak). But he wasn't having it, and forced their hand to sack him? He wasn't happy to allow the club to put a "mutual agreement" label on his departure? I'd wonder has Kenny secretly got serious worries about Fenway, and maybe used this to show it? Meh, I'm just paranoid at this stage I think. Heads melted. I dunno anymore.
Have you any other 'source' for the two packages that the twitter feed of Stephen Martin? I think he is a total wafler.
@faces redabbey Should have phrased it better as I remember reading it somewhere I was looking for somebody to confirm it
Pretty sure Ive heard some journalists say the same thing - this was pre confirmation of hios dismissal
I'd guess from PR side they tried to offer him a place in the club but as you said Kenny not accepting it and not wanting any of their money , has to have myself asking is it just pure loyalty to the club or no to blood money.?
I followed a link on twitter to this amazingly insightful post. Well worth a read. http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=293741.0
Great read I knew the similaritys were similar to Rafas first season (both had 14 defeats and finished below Everton) but 37 points off the lead both times is scary Scary as we all know (and the piece confirms it) how well Rafa did in season 2 etc. Ill never understand this sacking of Kenny and not sure I want to, but I do know that Kenny derserved more time at least to his 2 year anniversary in January to prove his doubters wrong I would love nothing more than for Carroll, Downing and Hendo (if he can get the full call up) to shine in Ukraine and come back as full focused players, prove that in long run Kenny chose well as Carroll at least has being improving since January
With the type of man the King is he will probably accept it very reluctantly . Plus if he doesn't get a Knighthood he will still be known to the city of liverpool as the people's king and i'am sure that makes him ever happier then any knighthood ever will .
3000th post dedication As its my 3000th post on here and it comes at a time where we were forced to say goodbye to the king I want to dedicate my post to Kenny Dalglish and to simply thank him for making me a Liverpool supporter all those years ago. A hero on and off the pitch imo
