BBC 2 0:10 to 1:40 on just after midnight tonight. Looks interesting. http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2012/jan/12/the-four-year-plan-qpr-film
A new documentary on Lionel Messi is on tonight at 10pm on ITV 4...might be worth a look. http://digiguide.tv/pick-of-the-day/7+March+2012/sport-lionel-messi-worlds-greatest-player/
I saw Senna and Man on Wire recently and both were two documentary films I thought were outstanding. I know these have been mentioned already so nothing new there. I agree with the Senna recommendations though it is brilliant and is enjoyable even for those without an interest in sport. Has anyone seen 'Soupçons' (also known as Death on the Staircase and The Staircase)? It's a documentary about the trial of Michael Peterson in the US. The cameras followed the family and recorded the whole trial. It is very good and I highly recommend it. It's an accurate film of what it's like to be on trial in the US for anyone who is interested in that kind of thing.
I'd highly recommend this. Fascinating look at how really rich people operate and how they perceive football to be the same as any other business. At times its more like a comedy than a documentary.
+1...I watched that the other night....bizarre at times...but unfortunately reflects how football clubs are being managed now..
