I thought it was adirective from UEAFA so that people could spend a weekend away in a city. Bit like the champions leauge final.

Like the Fridays and Tuesday games myself...but thats prob because I have to work most Saturdays! Would have liked to see Fahey startin instead of Green so that we could really get at Andorra. Expect 3 points and would like to see a few goals but tbh I dont see us as a team that will hammer anyone.

They are expecting Trap to go with the same team again, I thought Green was poor the other night, wouldn't mind seeing Fahey thrown in instead of him.

However I think Trap will always go with two defensive type midfielders.

Anyway think we will beat them 3/4-0.

A win and another clean sheet please. I'll do the prediction thing and go with 3 - 0. Ireland that is.

Should win this one handy enough..but Ireland aren't really prolific scorers, so id go for a 2-0 win...
Thought Green was poor the other night, gave away the ball far to much...should be ok against the likes of Andorra, but will be punished against Russia. Hopefully games like this will give him the experience he needs....

id love to see Doyle get a couple, because he does all the donkey work, but never gets the credit he deserves for it, and Keane gets the headlines..

Pity we dont have another Left back, as Kilbane is ageing and this could be our downfall..

Think it will be 2-0 tomorrow..Was going to head up there tomorrow but i cant justify paying 50 euro for what is effectively a cat C game..And then probally another 100 euro on drink, food, and transport..

He looks a good defender alright, him and dunne are a good partnership. O'Shea is grand at RB but agree with most here, Kilbane is now becoming a disaster. Int he last qualifying campaign, he was a weak link, I see him being even worse this one and think we really really need to change him and get someone in there. Even O'Shea and Kelly in at RB. He plays there regularly for Fulham.
Where is kilbane now as a matter of fact? Hull is it?

    Kilbane is still with Hull....
He got caught out a few times against Armenia, very slow when turned...
    His international days look numbered...

whilst it is easy to slate kilbane now for his shortcomings, please don't forget the service and serious dedication he has give to the green shirt over the years, when many others had given up.
the man deserves a pat on the back IMO. i'll be forever grateful anyway.

zinadine kilbane has been a great servant to irish football his record number of caps show that but i do think its time to find a suitable replacement for him at left back tonights game would be ideal to give kelly a go

Kilbane has been a great servant to Irish football..but he cant go on forever!!
Always thought he was a solid enough player and always done the job asked of him. But he was caught for pace a few times against Armenia and that could be punished later on in the group...

At the old Landsdowne it was suspended for a few hours either side of the game and during the game. Would say that still applies.
