Was a decent enough fight, the champ was very poor on the night. Fair play to Burns though he took his opportunity well and he seems like a nice bloke, i've always liked watching him fight

    Haye to face Harrison

David Haye will defend his World Heavyweight title against bitter rival Audley Harrison live on Sky Box Office HD.

The WBA champion has confirmed that he will make a voluntary defence of his belt at the MEN Arena, Manchester, on Saturday, November 13.

It will mean renewing rivalries with one-time friend Harrison, who has spent the last six months calling the Hayemaker out.

Harrison is number 13 in the WBA's rankings but has jumped the queue on the back of his sensational European title win, in which he knocked Michael Sprott out in the final round.

Even before that, the 2000 Olympic gold medallist has been chasing a domestic showdown with Haye, the pair having fallen out several years ago after a row over undercards.

Harrison says he let Haye fight on one of his, only to see the compliment go unreturned - and has let the world know exactly what he thinks.

The bitter fall-out will add fuel to the fire ahead of a landmark clash for British boxing

"At one stage I had a lot of respect for Audley, but over the years that respect has turned to disdain," said Haye.

"It's now time for me to go out there and close the Audley Harrison show once and for all. Audley's a big name, but he's known as a boxer that people want to see get destroyed. The public want to see one final high-profile destruction of Audley Harrison, and I'm only too happy to do my duty for the British people."

Harrison, said: "David Haye and the boxing world will be in for a shock on November 13. I told Sky Sports in 2009, that destiny would bring me and David in the ring together. Haye rubbished it and so did the boxing world.

"I've said it many times that I will be a world champion before I retire and now I get the chance to fulfil my destiny in boxing. So go ahead, write me off but I can't wait for the day when A Force Harrison, destroys Mr Haye. Yes I can."

This will be the first time in 17 years that two Britons have contested the world heavyweight title. Back in 1993 Lennox Lewis successfully defended his WBC strap against Frank Bruno at Cardiff Arms Park in Wales.

This will be Haye's second defence of the belt he won against Nikolai Valuev a year ago, following his impressive nine-round destruction of John Ruiz in April.

It means a unification showdown with either WBO and IBF king Wladimir Klitschko or his brother and WBC boss Vitali will have to wait until 2011 at the earliest.

Ridiculous fight. Haye will knock Harrison out.

Harrison is too slow and has been floored on many occasions already. Haye proved against Valuev that when he's in with the bigger man he isn't stupid enough to stand and trade. He'll use the ring and get in and out quickly.

Harrison doesn't dersrve to be a world champion so I hope Haye ends his night and career early in this fight!

Haye is a joke of a world champion. This just confirms that. Would be hilarious if Fraudley knocked him out. Serves him right for letting this mismatch happen.

Haye is a deserved world champion, he beat a very very tough opponent to win the title and then defended it well against an extremely tough (but old) John Ruiz. However, the fact Sky have billed this fight as box office worthy is one of the funniest things i've read in a long time. Haye should just come out and say he couldnt agree terms with the Klitchkos and needs a fight to keep warm rather than trying to build it up

Haye could knock Audley out, what will work to his advantage is that Valuev seemed a lot faster than Harrison is, and Haye could easily contend with staying away from him, and could/should have probably knocked Valuev in the last round, Haye will be way to fast for Harrison, wont even need to stay away from him, just needs to keep stepping sideways, and hope Audley doesnt catch him because if Harrison connects right, it could be lights out for Haye, who has never been tested against a big puncher.

    Albeit. A Haye Victory

he is defo a worthy world champ, credit where it is due.

how are SKY going to hype this one up. I can see it now best title for in a decade, or some tripe like that.

It needed to be Haye against one of the Klitchko's. Vitali is better, but Wladimir is more entertaining, takes more risks.

    A pity

Running scared from either klitschko, who have both offered him a 50/50. Paper champ if there ever was one.

Haye should just accept the terms the russians have on offer, get this fight on, and prove he is in the same league as the Klitscho's..He has turned them down on a few occassions and no he is going to fight Old Harrisson..

If Harrisson hits him on the chin, Haye could be in trouble, and there could be a shock on the cards..
