    Im looking forward to seeing how our players get on at the World Cup - we will have a good few 1st team players out there, I'll be keeping an eye on Spain, Argentina and England mostly.

    I just worry that, if it all goes even more pear shapped this season, will some of our players go to that World Cup and be playing to put themselves in the shop window especially with all the posibilities of;

    - Avoid injury and not give 110% on the pitch between this and then - its possible.
    - Rafa looking like he will be ousted if we dont get 4th (money permitting)
    - The Yanks, having the potential, to take any large bid for 1st teamers
    - Us having no money to compete for the big names

    I want to relax and enjoy the World Cup and I wish all our lads well (even Gerrard with England;) ) but on the back of my mind will be; if our lads play well; or even win it; will they be on their way!?

    Depends on the players themselves. They might buy into the differant lifetsyle stories from team mates & wan a move.

    I think Masch is the biggest worry out of the players that we really need to keep. Pepe, Carra, Masch, Stevie & Nando are the players i want to see at the club for the rest of their careers. Possibly Johnson & Yossi too.

    The rest can go to South Africa & stay there if they like!

    I think Id agree with that list. Masca could be a player who fancies the sun on his back in Spain. Spain is the place to be at the moment - Nando wont go to Real but Pepe could wake up and realise Ibrahimovic is awful and make an offer. The yanks are likely to take the money and run.

    I will be hoping Riera gets some game time and plays well, so we can get a fortune for someone who has contributed nothing this season. If Babel does well, would cash in on him as well.

    If Masherano had a great tournament and Barca offered 40 million, I would take it also.

    Im looking forward to the world cup because Im so down at the moment with out performance. The world cup is all we have left. That sums up our season perfectly since when did Liverpool play in the world cup:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Although I hope all our poor 1st teamers have great tournaments and we get rid of them because at the moment they are not worth a lot.

    Nah - they've had him for years and never realised how bad he is. Why notice now.

    It never ceases to amaze me, how the never replaced him, flaps around, no Spanish Cap - not even a friendly!?

    He doesn't want to be capped by them he wants to play for Catalonia,. He's like Xavi but more severe, Valdes was highly rated when he was young and he has a good few caps at all the different age groups, he got his chance at the national team one year and turned it down,. But he is a shocking keeper,.
