I also would have loved to see Sami stay (although respect his ultimate decision to move for more regular first team football in the end, after being offered some form of coaching type role) !

    LOL :D

    Back on topic ...... ;)

I reckon JC should be offered a 2-year contract, but not given any bullsh1t alongside it with promises which are quickly broken after he signed the new contract etc.... he will need to compete for his position, just like anyone else and perhaps, if he's not getting enough first team football, he could do a bit of coaching for the younger lads coming through, alongside some first team play or something.

One thing for sure, the younger players could learn a lot from JC, both on and off the pitch .... from knowing when to get the tackle in, to the true love for LFC !

Hi there, Carra mentioned in his book that he hates watching matches from the bench and even threw his charity shield medal into the crowd after GH gave Riise his competitive debut ahead of Carra before the league season started. Carra won't be happy playing every second or third match or becoming a player coach - he has said as much a few times now. Unfortunately it might be time to restrict his matches, he has looked a little off the pace lately, granted I love him as a person and a player cause he gives everything for the red cause but we need an overhaul from top to bottom and I don't think Carra could or should survive such a cull. YNWA.

Jamie Carragher is a Liverpool legend and always will be. But is he our best centre half at the moment, probably not. He will be 3rd in my list behind Skrtel & Agger. This opinion is based on the last 2 seasons.

He defends like no other player in the prem, but when did we last see a Carra assist, or an assist to an assist. To win this league, we need a centre half who is at the top of his game all season, and then some. It works for other teams.

Hes a defender, to defend, and he's still our best defender imo.
His positioning is still top rate.

And while Im here, heres an assist to an excellent goal last year...
