Alright lads, Badly stuck for a pair of Stand tickets for this for the parents. The old fella used to get sorted for two for every cats game from a sound contact through work but is unemployed since last year. Obviously tickets will be thin on the ground locally with it being Kilkenny Tipp so if any of ye hear of anyone offering a pair etc I'd be very grateful and would gladly try and help someone out with liverpool tickets (gaelic football all-ireland tickets will be pretty rare in Kilkenny too) for a game this season. Still hopeful I'll manage to get my hands on them myself but as i said if you come accross anyone who might have a couple spare I'd be very grateful, just anxious to get him sorted as he never misses a game. I'd take hill under normal circumstances, will be on it probably myself, but the my da wouldn't manage it, thus the need for stand tickets.
I will be sending a few texts for you in the morning Niall.Have always managed to get sorted for the finals eventually. There will be less tickets floating about down here this year for obvious reasons but I have some contacts I will try.The way they distribute tickets for the final is a joke. There has to be some sort of loyalty scheme put in place.
This will be my 16th all ireland hurling final and i've never had a stand ticket yet Luckily there's normally plenty of hill tickets floating around on the day.
How much are they mate?my da has a ticket but he wants me and my brothers to try get tickets too but their like golddust, ill let ya know if i hear anything
Thanks Howie. I know they'll be like gold dust, its just i'd really like to help him out. As you say the lack of a loyalty system is a disgrace. You could go to every league and championship game and still not get a ticket if you don't have the right contact.
Not a bother Niall. My old man has put his name down for 2 in work for you-they get about 20 or so tickets every year.He said there isnt huge demand for the hurling so far-thats theres 30-something people down and that theyd have a draw to see who got sorted so fingers crossed.Have 2 other very good contacts whove already agreed to swap theres for football tickets with lads from Tipp but whove promised to make a few calls so we'll see how it pans out.....
only after seeing this now Niall i'm aweqay working in Dublin tomorrow but i'll ask around when i get back.
My da got sorted last night, 2 in Hogan, which means less of a walk for him too so happy days. Thanks to everyone who went out of their way to try and get them, like gold-dust they were, much appreciated lads. You know who you are and anytime i can sort ye in the future i will.
