So I've been landed with sorting out the christmas party for about 80 people this year. Has anybody any good recommendations for central Dublin?
Have had a few work things in the Trinity City Hotel on Pearse St, decent spot and great location for transport.
House on Leeson st is a decent spot. depends what you want. This was a section with finger food and drink tokens not our own private area. Also was in cafe en seine for a sit down meal last year for about 50 people. Food was horrible would avoid.
I won't lie when I seen the tread title I thought it was going to a horror story from last month which your employer had only brought to your attention recently and you were seeking employee advice.
Shane, What's the story with age profile of the group you've got to cater for ? and speaking of catering, is it a full nosebag or just finger food needed ? Might help us with suggestions for you ... the likes of a private bar on one of Dicies balconies or House (as mentioned by PFoley above), can work well if it's mainly a youngish crowd, finger food, looking for loads of drink and a late night. Obviously if it's a very mixed age profile and many want a sit down silver service meal, then it's a different animal all together. The likes of Fire is a big restaurant, not cheap, but good food. It's on Dawson Street, so an easy walk across the road to Cafe, No. 37 etc. later on in the night for drinks. Sophies at the Dean Hotel is also good. Food is good, they have a decent bar, think they get a DJ in later on at night some nights.
Thought the same as Davey there to be honest that it was a horror tale. My mates workplace hired out the Odeon bar on Harcourt Street for theirs last month, apparently they do private hire regular.
