We were let down in that game by individual errors and some poor decision making. Looked better towards the end when Gakpo and Jones came on. Gravenberch still continuing his good form was a positive.
Szoboszlai needs to up his game big time. It's like he's only playing at 60% of his true ability. I'd start Jones ahead of him myself for a bit and see how that midfield 3 works
3 points didn't overly good I felt. Szoboszlai seems to be walking about or half hearted passes, the pass to Salah at one stage was poor. Jota was very quiet. Gravenberg again woo
Ive only seen Zubamendi play 45 minutes of football,so Im probably not the best person to judge. But Im going to go out on a limb and say there's no way he'd be performing for us the way Gravenberch has. https://x.com/OptaJoe/status/1840331950113824820
I don't think you are going out on limb with that claim. It is hard to see how any midfielder at the moment, including the likes of Bellingham could be giving us more than Gravy.
Scratchy enough performance. Two breaks that should have been certain goals. Thought Gravenberch was brilliant, he can beat two men in the blink of an eye the way he takes the ball into his body. Dare I say a bit Zidane like the way he can glide past players. wolves look in big trouble. In the past they had Neves, Jimenez, Neto and a few others. Not one player in their team stands out as a great talent
Wolves, Brentford, Ipswich, Forest, Bournemouth and a terrible United so far. Great to be top but that game won't live long in the memory. Better teams will capitalise on some of the chances we have been giving away but haven't been punished for. We've had a great run of fixtures to ease Slot in. Being greedy you'd want 18 points out of those 6 fixtures but given the transition I'll take it.
Are we giving up chances? I barely remember Ali making a save this season. Caomihe was a busy boy against Bournemouth, that's it as far (my shitty) memory goes.
Wolves had two decent chances at nil nil and the goal itself was awful stuff. The West Ham goal was soft af. We could have scored a few easily against Forest but so could they. Bournemouth had a few decent chances. We got the results in all but Forest but I think we could tighten up a lot more, we haven't faced any of the better sides in the league yet.
Personally like Ait Nouri, haven't seen him have a bad game against Salah which not many other left backs can say.
Yeah, him and Robinson from Fulham would be much higher on my list of left backs than the lad from Bournemouth. Well I say much higher, but I only watch Premier League and League One football, so its not that big a list to begin with. Much higher might be an exagereration.
