Buy a few of these now, never mind waiting until the summer to try and pick them up on a free.... http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/spor...s/24-players-available-free-liverpool-8397159 I'd personally like us to go after the following: Khedira Milner Ranocchia (granted, extremely unlikely) Romero Ayew Adriano
Alot of top players there, id love kedeira and leichsteiner, maybe giovinco, but its a very sad state when you see these headlines about what free players could liverpool get christ how did we get to this
Sadly, whats even worse mate, is the fact that we probably can't even get most of this list... because they want to be paid more than the club will pay them in wages.
Its like we've gone from shopping in the best shopping store to Aldi, a very sad state of affairs . We'll get very few if none of those players as they'll be snapped up by the real clubs who are'nt owned by penny pinching owners.
Im sure if you look through my previous posts you'll see i am, but at this time the transfer policy of our great club is a point of frustration for me, as i can see us falling behind our rivals, and at this time i cant see us getting any better at it as the pastbusiness does'nt fill me with confidence.
There is never anything free about these transfers. As much as I would love Khedira I assume he will look for somewhere close to £200k per week on a 4 year contract. With agent fees etc. this contract will realistically cost a club more than £50m. I am not saying he is not worth it, just that we will not pay.
It'll get better but its going to take time Things usually get worse before they get better mate Personally I'm not worried about FSGs transfer policy as its all with the benefit of the club going forward , does need tweaking but we just need to scout a lot better first .
There's no doubt it need tweaking and serious tweaking at that, when they took over we accepted there would be some short term pain for some long term gain, last season should have been a way to push on yet, we screwed up in the transfer market yes we got some exciting players but we replaced one of the best strikers in the world with one of the worst, one of the best defenders in the club retires we replace him with a train wreck. Before the tweaking starts we have to find out why its gone wrong.
We are clearly not paying the wages some of these lads command... We are not shopping in the bargain basement in terms of fees, we are shopping in terms of salary. Is that not obvious, and I understand no transfer fee = money to subsidise salary but we are clearly not looking to up our highest earner with a fair portion of key players up for renewal. How many different threads do we need to discuss the same topic?
Id start with Newcastle, Villa and Blackpool. If there's no joy there I'd move onto Swansea. As a last chance saloon I'd without a doubt snap up a few from Southampton. After that I haven't a clue to be honest
