Savage performance today. Bailed his team mates out so many teams.

Finish as champs or 2nd regardless there's not one player better in the league at doing what they have to do. Nobody.

Genuinely think there isn't anybody better in the entire world at this moment, I'm struggling to remember ever seeing someone who was such a colossus in defence, on the ground, in the air, organising others around him. If there's a weak part to his game I can't see it.

I am being very picky, however he does (did) have a tenancy sometimes to swipe at the ball in his box in a easy going manner that could have led to goals earlier in the season, not that often but go away with one or two. Funnily enough was just saying to my mate on Sunday that he seems to be lashing balls away more often than earlier in the season although when required he can calmed pick out a man when it's appropriate.

As if there were any doubt at all about the sheer quality of VVD.....

add to that he hasnt lost a single aerial duel at Anfield since the start of Jan.
If he's only playing at 70%, we need to convince him to play at 100% - then we can go with the 1-4-5 formation and just leave Virgil back there to sort out the pesky defending bit.

I Don't get carried away about players and I certainly don't over inflate their abilities but he's the best centre that has ever played the game! I've never seen anything like this lad before, he looks too big to be as quick as he is and he reads the game like it's in slow motion! I wouldn't trade him for any player in the world, build our future around him.

He would need to carry on this form for a few more years before I would consider him in the "best ever" argument.
Salah, Robertson and VVD are currently up there as amongst the best in the world in their positions at the moment.
They weren't in the running for that title before they came to Liverpool.
    Thats the Klopp factor.

Salah and Robertson are poor examples! VVD occupies a different sphere

I think John W Henry said the other day something along the lines of and I’m open to correction, “ 3/4 of the earth is covered by water and the remainder is covered by Van Dijk”.
