Fernandino????? I'd be amazed Hazard will loose interest now and save himself for Madrid. If City win the league sterling will get a nomination cause he's english and Silva is the best midfielder in the league. Can't believe ya can get mo at 8/1. Just looked and fernandino is 100/1.

I remember thinking he was too expensive at 50m. Thats an opinion that's held up well:)

I also thought the same, except I went a bit further thinking he was injury prone, hadn’t played properly in 6 months and would take a while to settle in. Good job I don’t get paid to make the big decisions at our club.

I've a very poor strike rate in general when it comes to signings.Wasn't sure about Suarez or Mane, but was very excited about Downing.

The D word should be banned from this site, still feel uneasy every time I see it.

Following on from Babbs - some players I was delighted to be getting

Andy Carroll - Delighted to get him - easy 25 goals a season with Charlie Adam and Downing (2 great signings themselves of course) supplying him.
Luis Alberto - Yes, midfield passing machine for years to come
Tiago Llori - CB sorted with Coates for years to come.
Loris Karius - Best young keeper in Germany, happy days
Joe Cole - how couldnt that be good on a free

or the ones I went "Huh? whos he"

Luis Suarez - what another striker from the Dutch league to play on the wing, graft hard but not score a lot?
Xabi Alonso - Cant see a little known basque player making it abroad.

Pinning the tatters of my scouting abilities now on the fact I wanted Allison from the start over calls for Oblak et al, was over the moon when we signed Bobby, and am now waiting and hoping Keita comes good after bigging him up for the last 18 months.

Benteke for me. Couldn’t understand it at all. He was always shite.

Heskey was another one but didn’t do too badly in the end for us.

VVD looked average the couple of times I seen against us. I remember been at a football weekly live show when they announced we were caught with our pants down and I wasn't one bit bothered. Mane was another I got wrong, thought he was another Yannick Bolaise.

Since the Ox, I've had complete faith in Klopps signings even though I've known little to nothing about most of them.

I thought Andy Carroll would be a superstar.
I was over the moon when we signed Morientes.
And when we got Torres I thought..."not another Spanish striker. They always flop in England"

I was over the moon when we signed Litmanen. He always looked good when he played but just didn't work out.

Seems like he's giving Frank Lampard a run for his money with effective blocked/sliced shots at goal. Keep it up Virgil
