ITV4/ITV4+1 currently showing 2005 CL final.

I had forgotten that the Milan side was essentially an All-Star team. Stam, Maldini, Kaka, Seedorf, Shevkenko etc.

    But miracles do happen!!

Pretty sure 9 of that team were named in the top 100 players of the last 25 years by fourfourtwo. I think we had 2, Stevie and Xabi

    AC Milan:

    Dida,

    Cafu, Maldini, Stam, Nesta,

Gattuso (Rui Costa 112), Seedorf (Serginho 86),

    Pirlo, Kaka,

    Shevchenko, Crespo (Tomasson 85)

That is an outrageous team. And we had Djimi Traore at centre half for most of the game!

My 15 year old son watched it with me last night. He watched it with me in 2005 but he was 9 weeks old then. Still had a LFC babygro on that night though! He couldn't believe the Milan squad. Rui Costa on the bench! He knows them all through the FIFA console game.

I had forgotten how immense Carra was that night particularly in the latter stages when he had cramp. Some heroic blocks and challenges. Didi and Stevie ran their nuts off in midfield. Even Barros put a huge shift in.

I have to say I teared up a bit!

    All heroes forever.

Probably won’t be everyone cup of tea, but Gordon Ramsay has a show on the Discovery channel called “Uncharted”. He goes to a different country each show and tries to cook their traditional food while doing challenges and learning the culture . There is two seasons of it and I loved it. Some of the countries he goes to are Alaska, Norway, The Jungle etc.

As I said he is not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s a easy watch and something different .
