Very impressed with him tonight and previous time I seen him. Great to see young players getting a chance and doing so well. Must give all the academy, u18s etc a boost. Keep the head down and keep learning lad :)

Two good performances for the first team this season. I would be interested to know where Klopp see's him in the pecking order - if Clyne was injured would he shift Milner to RB and bring Moreno in or would he slot Trent Alexander Arnold in?

Probably depend on the opposition I'd think... think Klopp would still tend to lean towards Moreno if we'd tough opponents.

Nice to think that we've got one for the future here :)

His composure on the ball and his crossing is brilliant. Is he the reason we didnt sign back up for Clyne.

He's a big lad too, will be a force for us hopefully.

Woodburn may have grabbed the headlines, but it was Alexander-Arnold's assured performance that excites me more !

If he continues to perform like that we'll have to get him some capital letters for his name on the thread title too but one thing at a time.

Solid game today for the kid. Imagine making your debut in that atmosphere . Had a couple of mis-placed passes but I thought he was solid and the future looks good. Klopp even said it in his interview after the game that with Clyne out we have a good replacement in Trent to come in.

Young cub has a very bright future on that showing...not perfect and obviously nervous at times but that's probably the hardest place in the country to make your full debut

If he was left footed he'd have seen a lot more game time this season. He's unlucky that we've someone so solid ahead of him but nice to have a good backup all the same.

A misplaced pass or two during the game but a strong perfomance none the less.

Played well today and certainly looks like a decent prospect. Have to say I feared for him early on when Martial turned him a few times but stuck to his game and didn't look too much out of place considering that was his first start in the prem. Went back to the keeper trying to keep possession far too many times, great to keep possession but sometimes you just have to turn a team and get yourself 10 -15 yards up the pitch. He'll learn and will only get better.

Agreed. Man of the match in one of our league cup games. No harm to have competition for places and defo thought after 10 minutes he was in for a tough afternoon but showed no nonsense defensive play and the lad can be an attacking full back as well. Great career ahead of him With that many surnames has he any Irish connections. lol
