It's a pretty lucrative sideline Bob and thats without the benefits keeping himself out there on a large scale has on his commercial deals. Imo he's not giving it up for a job with the U18's,no matter what promises are made further down the road.If he progresses onwards and upwards there probably will be a time when the two roles become incompatible but at least then the salary would close the gap on the extra curricular earnings he'd be giving up.In the meantime he'd be leaving a lot of money on the table and in a sport where things can change very quickly,it would be a big decision to take. For all I know he could sack off all his media commitments next week, but I think it's understandable that he might not at this point.

If only Wegner had been successful with Henry, I find him a complete pain in the hole and wish he was never on the tv etc.

    :D

I take it that City "preparing a bid" means they are routing around in their small change jar, looking for something less than €100m ;)

Aubameyang not a target for Man City.

    Mike Keegan ✔ @MikeKeegan_DM
Believe there's no interest from City in Aubameyang. #mcfc

If he stays fit I reckon Jesus will be one of the players of the season for City. They also had Aguero so not much room for another big gun

Monchengladbach and Hertha Berlin are both interested in Alberto Moreno. Klopp is ready to sanction £9.5M for his exit. [Transfermarketweb]

He's probably good enough to establish himself as first choice but it would be a risk as 3 into 1 doesn't go.

We need to bid for him, tell him he'd be our first choice striker and with Coutinho behind him and Mane and Firmino /Salah alongside him we'd destroy teams

Wouldn't be hard tbh. Fair obvious alright he'd be more suited than a left back where I don't think he'll ever be good enough for any team above Championship level

Not many teams play with natural wingers so he's screwed either way. Needs to be moved on.

Once Liverpool's pursuit of Roma winger Mohamed Salah has been concluded, the focus will turn to other areas. (James Pearce)

A dominant centre-back, a reliable left-back and a dynamic centre midfielder are all high up on Jurgen Klopp’s wish-list. (James Pearce)

No mention of a striker from James
VVD, Mendy, Keita and Sahah will do for the time being though ;)

    Do we need one?

I think we'll only get one if 2 of Origi, Ings & Sturridge leave. And even then it won't be a star striker.

Firmino will be top dog next season, with Salah and Mane either side of him.

I'd trade everyone of them signings for Aubemayang (I've probably made a balls of his name but I'll learn it if we sign him).

We'd be mad not to at least try for Aubameyang at the price rumoured, I'd offload Ings and Origi and have Abua, Sturridge, Solanke, and Woodburne instead

We need a natural goalscorer (who stays fit!).

Sturridge is that man but is unreliable.

I've seen nothing in Firmino to suggest that he's anything other than a number 10 or a second striker. His goal average with us is less than one in three and with Hoffenheim (bar one season) was even worse.

As Ed says, I's give Ings, Sturridge, Origi & Firmino plus cash for Aubamayang, Lacazette or Benzema.
