the wire is better IMO
Haha, yeah. That was one I thought was definitely going to bite them on the bollox.
AH lads he's only a nipper, leave it out, he also thinks Ronaldo is better than Messi
that was a little shot at me there haha
Yeah that's my favourite episode too. He was one tough fcuker that Russian dude. The only pity was l thought they'd bring him back to get revenge, but they never did.
The episode where one of the Daughters teachers was getting a bit frisky in the school and Tony found out from the Daughter was hilarious as well. Tonys face was priceless
The wife was brilliant as well, he's be back from a hit or something and she'd start nagging him about not sorting out the kids holidays or something like that.
Watching The God Father 1. First time since I watched the entire Sopranos.
Easy to see where they got a lot of their idea's from
Started Breaking Bad a week ago, have nealy 2 seasons done already. Great stuff.
The Wire is worth watching as well for anyone who hasnt seen it.
Oh and agree with all above on Sopranos, class show.
Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini) has died of a suspected heart attack aged just 51. Very sad, RIP.
Tony Soprano didn't die, he just cut to black.
I am not sure if this is a good idea.
I think a prequel could be good, but not a sequel .... I'd personally like to watch it if it ever came out.
The Corner was a good prequel to The Wire for example (although now I think about it, it may not have been made after The Wire) but hopefully you take my point - once there is enough distance between the characters of The Sopranos TV series and anything else they create as a prequel, then it should work well.
Mafia stories, violence, drugs, gambling, sex ... generally a winning combination with male viewers after all
The Wire was based on The Corner. It was a book David Simon wrote. I think The Corner came out around 2000 and The Wire followed a couple of years after.
Well well well....
Finished this at the end weekend after bombing through it since Xmas. Have to say it took me to season 3 to really really get into it.
For me it's characters that make these tv shows. Personally I still preferred The Wire as they had a theme for every season and brilliant characters in one. Sopranos is right up there and some of the episodes were unreal tension. Defo in my top three shows
Some my other thoughts below
thought Chris was the best character in the show, when Tony finished him off in the Jeep, that for me that was almost like the ending. I was in a daze for a while after it.
I found the ending really annoying. I was expecting Tony to die, maybe it was because James G died in real life. Could not believe it when Credits came on.
Adrianna is far better shape in The Sopranos than in Sons of Anarchy
I don't know how to do that spoiler thing can you tell me and I will discuss this with you?

He did die, every time the bell dinged and the camera looked at the door, you were seeing it through Tony's eyes. The fade to black and credits was a throwback to a previous episode where someone was talking about death and how it goes black.
Also the reason for showing his daughter trying to park was because if she had been sitting next to him he would not have died at that moment, the gangster code means the shooters wouldn't have put his family in danger, but because they had a clean shot he died.
Something like that anyway, brilliant ending and there is no did he or didn't he, he did die. lol
If you enjoyed The Sopranos, go
To see Many Saints of Newark in cinema. Really good film
I am hearing mixed reviews, will most likely go anyway.
If you are a fan of the series you would love it. If you had never seen Sopranos, you’d be a bit lost.
Big fan of it. Have to say I would rather a TV series than a rushed (story wise) movie.
