The most popular story on the RTE news site today: "Derry bishop warns splinter group holding illicit masses" Sounds like something from Father Ted.
Everytime I do a bit of manual labour,I remember how much respect I have for people who actually work hard for a living. Powerwashed the patio today, and feel like I've been hit by a bus. On a related note, I spent a score on patio cleaner last year, that helps get rid of the green stuff that builds up on it over the winter. Used vinegar and water this time, and it was just as good.
I've to attack this soon, how did you setup the water and vinegar? Just spread it on the patuo for a while before you start power washing!
We've used vinegar for years for cleaning. Glass, mirrors, kettles, kitchen tops, limescale in the bathroom, etc. It's dirt cheap and no chemicals. Also, drinking apple cider vinegar diluted with water every few days or even once a week helps to clean your insides. It's fucking horrible but it absolutely works.
I did the front drive a few weeks ago with 2 litres of that green removal stuff, kept putting 200ml in to 5litres of water in a watering jug and pouring it all along the drive, handy job and looked great once it dried in.
The advice is equal parts vinegar and warm water, sprayed on the green shit and left for half an hour before getting the power washer on it. But half a litre of vinegar to a litre of water did the job.
