So much for the single market.
Still mad you could go to UK and buy a car, pay the VRT and save a fortune though.
Car prices in Ireland absolutely nuts.
Like everything else here.
38% of the price we pay for a new car goes to the exchequer. It's only 17.5% in Britain.
I did it last year, I couldn't quite believe how much difference in price their is. The pound was at 92 at some point this year, you'd nearly be getting cars for free at that.
But VRT is a joke, we pay a criminal amount of tax on everything in this country and we have very little to show for it.

What a day lads... never really a winner in a family court but today’s being unbelievable successful for me. More time granted than I ever hoped, including Xmas. Every single issue raised against me dropped, supervised visits stopped as cafcass agree no need .
I can finally start living again and be a father to my daughter.
Very emotional day for me personally
Delighted for you mate.
Delighted to hear that.

Well done mate. All the very best to you both going forward.
Great news and must be a weight off the shoulders, make the most of what you have now
Hope you get to enjoy loads of time with your daughter. Quality time with your kids form the best memories
Enjoy pal as every second you spend with your children is precious . They make you smile every single day without fail and the memories you will, you will appreciate for life. As they say , good things come to those who wait, and you seem to deserve it for the hassle you have had.
Good stuff John.
