My mother who is 85 and a Liverpool fan is in an old folks home since last may as she needs 24 care. Anyway, I was visiting her this morning and there's a guy who's an arsenal fan comes to visit his wife. As he was leaving he said to my mother "I'll see you again when ye are second in the league". My mother just looked up at him and says "fùckin Arsenal". She never lost it

I see he turned up at a hospital yesterday for a photo with some of the staff, they should've told him to get to fcuk.
I was at a gig last week and some woman in front of me was on the phone recording most of the gig Ill never understand it myself Live in the moment and enjoy it live and take it all in rather than spend the night watching your phone
I’d a mate who done that at a gig recently. I seen it on her snapchat story and I said to her what’s the point in a filming a gig from “The Big Screen” not even the person performing . I felt like I was at the whole concert having watched her snapchat story. When I asked her why she done it, the response I got was for memories. As you say each to their own, but I wouldn’t pay money for a ticket to record something and then watch it back later. I just don’t get it. Enjoy it in the moment . Times have changed .
I think the most obvious and honest answer is the least likely you're going to receive and it's that they want to show off how amazing it is that they're at this gig. If it was for memories it would be on her phone camera and saved for herself. We're all guilty of it I suppose, I'd always make sure and get the odd photo and maybe a quick video but I draw the line at that.
I'm delighted people film gigs because my memory when it comes to things like matches and concerts, is shockingly bad. So now I'm able to relive gigs that I was at, but only have fleeting memories of, because someone else filmed it and uploaded it. The only time I did it myself was when my favourite band reformed and played in Dublin. I filmed about 3 or4 songs and would only glance at the screen every now and then, to make sure I wasn't filming the back of someones head. Very happy I did it as it was one of the best nights ever and watching the videos back, puts me right back in the crowd at the Olympia again. I know other people do it for other reasons and I do think it's sad when I see people watching the whole event through their phone but I'm glad I've been able to remember 'lost' gigs because someone else has put it on Youtube or where ever.
100% of the world's botox and viagra is manufactured in Ireland. Useless enough information but I thought it was interesting.
Had to research that joke. Never knew they reformed and played UCD ball. I also never knew they had a song called Rocket to Uranus. I hated all that europop music but I must admit for some reason I loved The Vengabus. There's a zinger of a joke in there somewhere.
